I paid $500 and so far its cost me over 2x that in 30-30. its is a post-1960 serial# (its a 1980's manufacturer date). I like it and its been a great shooter. If i let it sit too long it jams up. but ive considered to practice gunsmithing on it. installing sights and scopes (dovetail and rails) wood/metal engraving and the like. be a good practice gun anyway.
It does have its issues, the trigger likes to dangle loose (i think its missing a spring) and the finish is worn in places as well. She definitely doesnt like soft point ammo. Hell if i totally lose it ill see about sbr-ing it as well, maybe go into 44
