Default 2A Sanctuary Cities just talk or implemented as toothless resolutions

From:

https://mises.org/wire/second-amendm...ric-vs-reality

"In reviewing recently-passed “2nd Amendment Sanctuary” measures in Texas, Illinois, Oregon, Florida, Arizona and elsewhere, none of them prohibit any local government employees from using funds or resources to assist in the enforcement of federal or even state gun laws or regulations. And other than a few outliers, almost none of them have passed any laws at all, despite making public claims to have created a “sanctuary” for gun owners."

"... local governing bodies make law by passing an ordinance. A resolution “does not have the force of law” and is used as “an expression of an opinion of the legislative body.”

Despite Hood County’s claim to be a “Second Amendment Sanctuary County,” its resolution doesn’t stop the enforcement of any gun measure. It is merely the opinion of those who voted to pass it — and nothing more."

Prosecution is always an exercise of discretion by the District Attorney, but the DA is an elected official who does not answer to the County. Same with the Sheriff. So a declaration of sanctuary is only good as long as those two are on board. Moreover, a county or city cannot prevent the State AG from prosecuting violations of those laws.

And nothing they say has any effect on the prosecution of federal offenses by the US Attorney General--but then again, none of the mag limits or AR bans are part of the federal law.

It's all just a feel good statement of unity. We may say good for them....but it means nothing. For instance, Needles did so, but the San Bernardino Sherrif has stated he will still support state law... If you conceal or open carry in Needles you will be arrested.

Sanctuary cities and states only work for the Commies because the deep state bureaucracy, etc., support it. Those traitorous groups never support Bill of Rights issues or conservative goals.
