1824 Whitney arms rifle with CSA background
I have a friend who has a 1824 Whitney percussion rifle in good shootable shape. He shot it. The name engraved on the lock was traced back to a confederate soldier out of Mississippi. i have found a fair amount of information on 1848 and newer Whitney rifles but nothing back that old. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It would really help if you posted your question in the right forum. This is a gallery forum for pictures of your guns.
If you want answers, go over to the C&R and black powder forum where you can possibly get help.
