Solved - Surefire X300V Stuck in Strobe Mode???
UPDATE: No, not a fake. Got it directly from the distributor RSR Group. Batteries were dying on me. Which did not occur since the light was so new. Must have sat on a shelf for a while. It wasn't "strobing" as much as struggling to produce light. Which looked like strobing. Feel kinda dumb not checking that first. Live and learn.
ORIGINAL POST: I did not even know this light has a strobe mode. Got back from the range today, pulled the gun out of the pistol bag, cleared it, checked the light...and it was strobing. Can't figure out how it got in that mode or how to get it out of it. Except to undo and redo the battery latch. Not something I can do in the field. I might be missing it, but I don't see anything in the owners manual about strobe model. Anybody know what to do to switch into and out of strobe model on this light? https://assets.surefire.com/uploads/...1068-Rev-B.pdf Last edited by tacticalcity; 04-12-2021 at 4:03 PM.. |

Now it seems pretty random when it goes into strobe mode. Would love to figure out what the triggering motion is that causes it to go into strobe so I could have complete control over it. Pretty important for a tactical light.

I honestly can’t recall SF X300/X300U having a strobe function. I’ve owned several over the years and never had strobe.

Methinks you may have bought a fake.

No we did not...
Issue was batteries of all things. I would normally have just assumed that was the case. But since it's a new light, did not occur the batteries would be dying already. |
