The great hymns. Contemporary Christian music is theologicaly pathetic and mostly entertainment. But outside my faith I'm all Metal all the time.

Satan was the head Piper in charge of music and he uses it to brain wash us. Jesus/Yashua said to not be lead by emotions but to be lead by truth! When you listen to music it play's off emotion. However nothing wrong with singing your own song to praise God or in a group where 2 or more gather.
I disagree. The words of the song do matter but the rhythm of the music doesn’t have a thing to do with it. 95%? Maybe 95% of the radio stations but there is a whole lot of music that while it may not glorify God, that doesn’t make it Satanic.
Bach, Beethoven, etc.
God gave us music, yes Satan can and does use some. That does’t make 95% of it sinful.

For me right now it’s Mercy Me “Even if”

Lucifer was the chief cherub. The KJV mentions he was created with instruments as part of his being. That is outlined in Ezekiel 28:12b-19.

Quote:
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. (Ezekiel 28:13-14)
Tabrets and pipes would indicate percussion and wind instruments. But instruments can be used for good, as can dancing and waving flags and banners. We must not commit the error of Michal (2 Samuel 6:16) by condemning someone engaged in The Spirit of unrestrained worship of their Creator.

From Psalm 150:

Quote:
1
Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

6
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
Music should be taken for what it says, not for any perceived subliminal messages. To call something God uses to bring glory to Himself "Satanic" is a great wrong. (Acts 10:15b) "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."

Nothing like Amazing Grace played on the pipes.

Matthew 24:24 (with my paraphrasing) "For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders musical numbers so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones."

You can only be deceived if the the truth is not in you. I'm fairly certain that listening to AudioA isn't going to jeapordize my salvation.

To answer the OP question, the Mercy Me song "I Can Only Imagine" has put me in a state of 'something in my eyes' ever since I heard it in the car, on the way home from my grandpa's funeral.

Friend, I'd like to address two of your points.

Quote:

Regarding the seven year Tribulation Period aka Daniel's 70th Week Prophecy, people are saved during that period. Yes, salvation still happens. Since Salvation is the work of The Holy Spirit, not of man, that means that Holy Spirit is the evidence of God's love and offering of grace to mankind. Holy Spirit will still be active on earth during the Tribulation time, the time of Jacob's Trouble.

Actually, it's talking about people. As Cornelius was inviting Peter to lunch which would appear unclean for a Jew to eat lunch with a pagan. But the moral of the story goes deeper than than. I was a sinner. Christ made me clean. Cannot God take something unclean and use it for His glory? If some nuns bought a bus at a police auction to take children to church? What if that bus used to belong to an evil person?

It is rumored that some old hymns were popular tavern songs that Christians changed the words to. Isn't that God taking something and using it for His glory?

Galatians 5:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

If you're Irish come into the parlor and take heed of an old story you already know, maybe even personally

...and if you are not, maybe you'll need to read the lyrics to see if they apply to you.

https://youtu.be/b_4KboYi40I

I almost started a thread vaguely similar to this one, asking for songs that people would like to play at their funeral but I thought that was too depressing.

Sip your Victory Gin folks, time's are a changin'

Time it was, and what a time it was, it was
A time of innocence, A time of confidences
Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph
Preserve your memories; They're all that's left you
