How do You Fight for Gun Rights?

I wonder how many fight for gun rights, and how. I was going to put up a poll, but too many choices and suspect many would fall under "Other". Also, not sure if the poll can be done where a responder can select more than one choice. So, no poll. But here are some options to consider.

How do you fight for run rights (CA and/or national)?

1) I am an NRA member.
2) I am a member of other pro-gun activist group(s). CRPA, etc.
3) I donate to pro-gun activist groups (beyond dues).
4) I write pro-gun content on social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
5) I write pro-gun content to the news media (newspaper, comments to articles, etc.).
6) I wear pro-gun attire.
7) I encourage and teach others about guns.
8) I volunteer at shooting events that promote guns (i.e., NRA Women on Target).
9) I fight for gun rights by ___fill in blank___.
10) I do not take any action to promote gun rights.

For myself, I have done six of the first nine, and did a 7th some time ago.

I use the First Amendment, primarily what the Supreme Court has defined as “speech,” and donate to N.R.A., N.R.A.-ILA, N.R.A.-PVF, Second Amendment Foundation, NGRA, CRPA, and I also speak to anyone who will listen. Using my First Amendment right of association, I have also taken folks on their first ever gun shoot. It ain’t much but I still have to work. Just wait until I retire!

All of the above and a little civil disobedience to unconstitutional laws.

To be clear, we should not be relying on the courts
Their ideology trumps the constitution
We should be willing to take action and be sure we teach others to prepare to take action
Whether you like the Bundy's or not, they were willing to take action and did
The outpouring of help in NV was awesome and showed us we were not alone
Oregon, they did not get as much help, but if you love and cherish the constitution you should be prepared to defend it at any cost.
Most people are not willing to risk their comfort for LIberty, as we have seen in California

Joined NRA Members Council. Good place for information.
Call and e-mail elected officials opposing anti-gun bills.
Call and e-mail the very few elected officials who support 2A rights (i.e. Melissa Melendez).

Ignore any and all unconstitutional bans and regulations. Import any ammo you can into the state, just like our forefathers would have done, Samuel Adams et al. The state's c-sucker Orc army can do NOTHING to stop you. Shut your mouth and live free.

I do most of the things on that list... pro-gun attire, donation to pro-rights groups, sharing information via social media, exercising as many 2A-related rights as possible. I invested several weekends of my time and effort in the Gunmageddon recall petition, as many as I could manage. And of course, I vote every time I have the opportunity.

I've added one recently - prayer. I'm not a big religious guy, I'm far from what anyone would consider a "saint" and don't think much of most "organized" religion these days... but I've seen it work wonders and boy howdy are we in need of some wonders. I don't think much of people who pray, pray, pray and then never get off their duff to do anything to make themselves ready to receive what they're praying for or provide some mechanism through which the Divine might actually fulfill their request... I keep telling myself it's coincidence I started this practice 2 weeks before Magapalooza broke wide open but then... a lot of other people have no doubt been praying too... so - who knows? We could use a few judges and others in influential positions having a vision like Paul did in the book of Acts, of a man pleading "Come over into Macedonia and help us!". Rather than washing their hands of us like Pilate infamously did on the day of the Crucifixion, as Gavin Gruesome and his cohorts seem inclined to do.

If you're doing just about everything on that list, and still not getting results... prayer's one more thing you can toss into the list. I generally think God doesn't care much about which side wins football games or elections because in His eyes I don't think there seems to be a lot of difference... but if it matters to US, then why not take it to Him? It seems weird hearing myself go on like this, but we need miracles and miracles are in short supply these days. What does it cost us to add this one last thing? A few minutes a day, and the thought to do it? NOBODY can say they can't afford that kind of time and expense. Just a thought.

The most important thing I think I have done was raise my son to be a far right conservative. He understands socialism/communism vs capitalism. He has learned that helping is not the same as handouts/entitlements. He does volunteer work but will not give a penny to someone not willing to earn it. He is a Boy Scout for the friendships but prefers the rigid structure of being a Civil Air Patrol Cadet. He has helped me run my gun business since he was 5. He is now 13 and has been talking to me about ideas he has when he takes over the business.

The fight is over in kalifornia. If anything, we learned from “freedom week” is that our so called rights are subject to imperial whims. A judge can find the law violates the constitution, but oh well, here’s your pink ice scream spoon sample peasant. Know your role, and shut your mouth. You are a subject.

There is no fight left in kalifornia. When opportunity arises, flee and seek refuge in America because this is kalifornia, not America. For those “staying and fighting”, I believe there’s a name for that. Dead Enders.

Remember that we need to keep the Republican officials in check, too, even after they take office. They can and will sell gun owners out in certain circumstances. Remind them that we are keeping tabs.
