BLM Range Area
Hello All,
I was looking for recommendations for some BLM area that would be good for range practice. I know of some areas near Palm Springs, but was wondering if there is anything a little closer to San Diego proper. We were hoping for an area we could bring some chairs tables and pop up tent covers and bring the families to get some practice in. Thanks in advance for any advice. Thank you, Rocky

split mountain shooting spot in Imperial County (Ocotillo Wells )
much nicer than the palm springs areas. https://maps.app.goo.gl/haf1FH5hYwnvnCaT8 Don't drive across the train tracks (they are active!) The train doesn't run on weekends. Shoot towards the mountain backstop. It's about a 2 hour drive from San Diego. Depending on which part you are in. My favorite place to go shoot. I always clean up and haul peoples crap out when I leave.. For some reason people are happy to show up and leave all their crap... Last edited by Rando72; 10-27-2023 at 7:56 PM..

I know of private ranch 5 minute from southbay rod club, with an officially approved outdoor range. Not impressive but you can shoot anything you got. 30$ a head Hit me up teamdrop@protonmail.com
