Let's get the Appleseeds going again in Piru. The last few were cancelled due to the minimum not being reached. They need 10 people. 3 are currently registered for Nov. 18 & 19, 2023. I live in San Diego and am planning on driving up there. Everyone needs practice and it's great to support the Appleseed Project. Let's do this!!!

We are up to 5, now only need 5 more.

I'm surprised earlier ones were cancelled due to rain. The first one I ever did was in Rainbow, CA and it was in the rain. At first, I thought... Damn... Rain..., but shortly afterwards, I thought "you never know when you'll need to shoot" and it was actually fun to shoot in the rain. There should be a Scubaseed Patch. Haha.

The one I signed up for wasn?t canceled for rain per se, the road to the piru range had washed out.

Two weeks away and I’m a little worried the minimum capacity won’t be reached. Will the event run if there’s 8-9 people?

Sorry for the delay! I'm not sure. I heard the minimum was 10, so it would be worth while for the range, but I'm not sure.

I really hope it still runs, because I've been wanting to try an appleseed in Piru. I've only done them at the Rainbow range.

Only one more to reach 10. If anyone was ever thinking about doing an Appleseed, please do it. You won't regret it. I've always wondered why I've never heard about this in the past and was hooked the first time I did it.

If they are called off, they usually are a week before, but they also usually send the confirmation emails a week in advance as well.

Who runs the Piru Appleseed? All of the other Appleseeds that I've attended let us know at least a week in advance if it's still happening or if it's been cancelled. I hope they are ok. I do need to know if it is going on though. I'm driving several hours just for this & I need to get a hotel, but need co confirmation this is happening. I've emailed CA Appleseed, PM'd Bob212, messaged the range & no one is getting back to me. This is frustrating.

The ones I have attended the notifications/instructions usually come out Monday/Tuesday prior to the weekend of.

Yea, zero communication is unnerving. I don't even know what time to shop up, IF it is still happening.

I'm not sure who, but someone just contacted me saying it is still on, but if it rains a lot more, the road might be shut down. They won't know until the day of, but it should still be on, even with a little rain (it IS fun to shoot in the rain), just not a lot of rain. I hope to see everyone there!

We got soaked at the last Event I attended in Sacramento, luckily end of the day Sunday.

Just got an email, saying tomorrow is closed at Piru, something about the rain and bad road conditions.

However, choice of refund or free signup on Dec 9-10, and an additional free ticket for someone for me to give out as well.

I got the same email, Going take the refund and sign up for the one in clark county next month . Hopefully weather will be cooperative for all.
