Thatís a whole different (failed) program. The whole public safety officer model is only done by them and should be replaced soon.

I found out about that because there was a fire on my street and the police officers pulled out their fire gear from their cruisers trunk and we're fire fighters. After talking with them they said to be a fireman you had to do so much time as a officer before going permanent fireman.

Yep, Sunnyvale is a failed program that they are always hiring for.

Completely one billion percent disagree!

I have had the pleasure of working in Sunnyvale as a paramedic for about 7 years. Their medical care is excellent, police services are top notch, in enforcement and outreach.

They are always hiring because everyone is retiring.

I've seen a few Cal Fire officers around here doing all kinds of law enforcement stuff with the sheriffs department. they have red and blue lights on their cars and are only marked with a cal fire sticker and red stripes on their cars. you can't tell if one is a cop until they activate their lights.
