Really digging the Mtek, though it did take about 2 days of fiddling with the pads to get it to feel just right

Some of us actually use the gear for our profession.

I can think of a few off the bat.

1. Search and Rescue
2. LE
3. Avaiation
4. Maritime
5. Pest control (Texas hog hunting).

That's just off the top of my head with 0 coffee intake and crying baby in my ear.

I suppose. But that's one heck of an investment for social media and BB's. But if you have money to burn, it's your call!

I got the two Auroras, plus the mount, front and back lens protectors for $1000 deal from Rockey Brass. I love it. For the price, you get Gen 2 quality, you can run an external battery, take pictures and video, see in color at night, see IR light and illuminator to shoot, and you can transfer the pictures and videos straight to your phone! I know its currently white and I dont like it. It will be painted desert tan as a future project.

With my eyes I can't see anything inside those vehicles and the dark areas of the garage

Attachment 872988

Taken from my Note 8

Attachment 872989

Taken from the Aurora

For $1000 (Two Auroras and mount), it's not bad at all. You can definitely use it to see what your eyes can't see, you can use it to shoot because you can see the IR laser and illuminator, and have something for when SHTF. However, if money wasn't an issue, I prefer some good quality Gen 3 NVG's over the Auroras. The reason being, the Aurora has a bit of a lag (which isn't too bad or noticable) plus the Aurora's has low image quality (the picture you see is enlarged and looks a lot better, clearer, and sharper in person looking through the Auroras) compared to NVG's which has no lag, and better image quality. All in all, great for civilians such as myself. Get some good Gen 3 autogated NVG's (PVS14, RNVG15, BNVD15, DTNVG31, or PVS15) if you can afford them and or if you operate.

Yes, I am able to run a auxiliary cable from the Peltor Tac 100 to the mic that is connected to a Motorola XPR7550.
