Default Transfering Projectiles - Legal?

Did a quick search & didn't find an answer. Is it still legal to do FTF sale of ammo components (projectiles, primers, brass, etc....)?

I sell ammo as a range officer and noticed there is a drop down menu now for components. I think we can all surmise where that is eventually headed.

My understanding, components are legal. If I assemble them first, it's not. I could give a friend 500 primers, but not 500 reloaded rounds. Ok, here is a question. If I sold a friend the components to kiss 500 rounds, then let him use my press to assemble, legal?

The guy who cranks the press made the ammo.

After that, the law covers most other situations.

It's ok, so long as you don't sell to a prohibited person.

Incorrect

So long as you don't knowingly sell to a prohibited person.

But as stated who's going to run the check??

it would be a stretch but the ATF could apply the same standards to firearm manufacturing.
