I just heard on the radio, that Dr. Chang, the hero who was killed stopping the Geneva Church shooter last week was a CCW. Can anybody here confirm that? Also, I believe that the Geneva Church has a school on site, making CCW at the church illegal. Can anybody confirm if Dr. Chang was a CCW?

If you’re looking for examples of CCWers saving lives I have a old thread with >240 incidents linked in my signature line. Many links are dead and pix of BGs gone but I made summaries of many incidents so it’s still worth reviewing.

I would like to know that as well.
A lot of people will say that "The ABC's of concealed carry is 'Always Be Carrying'", and I agree with that, to the extent it is possible. It's like wearing your seatbelt when you're driving/riding in a car: you never know what can happen. Maybe he had a reason for not carrying-- there can be many valid reasons-- I hope more details come to light at some point. |

I see that now, but I don't recall reading that in any accounts of the incident. A preschool is mentioned on the sign in front of the church campus.
From what I read here, preschool is not the same as K-12 so far as legally carrying is concerned. |
