Those of you with V3's haven't had any problems? I'm quite leery of Remington products as a whole although I haven't looked at shotguns lately. This V3 is brand new to me.

I bought mine in Last December. Probably shot 2000+ rd, mostly Walmart Winchester/Federal 12ga 1 1/8oz 1200fps ammo. I haven't done full cleaning yet. No problem so far

Sure, I usually go. Didn’t tonight because of wife’s birthday. I’m looking at a new waterfowl gun so have been looking at the Affinity 3.5, but also would like a sporting clays gun. Would like both, but don’t want to go too cheap on either.

I use mine for clays. Kinda fun bringing a box of 3.5” BB rounds and vaporizing them at distance. If your in NorCal your welcome to shoot mine.

I live in Nevada city, but am down in Sacramento and Modesto all the time. That would be nice to check one out before buying.

Just seeing that the " newer " models of the Stoeger 3000 are hitting the shelves. In particular, the cerakote finished model. The fitting of the newer models are really astounding. Just don't don't how favorable/unfavorable they compare in performance to the competition.

I have the A300 and A400. Seriously.....it’s not even close. The A400 shoots much softer than the A300. The A300 is a solid shotgun, but between the two, the A400 shoots like Ferrari compared to Ford - A400.

I had the a400 xplor model for a season and didn’t like it. Not sure if it didn’t fit me or what the deal was. It was a cheek slapper. A300 was easy and cheap to get set up.

I have the A400 xtreme plus, it's a bit more stiff than the Xcel sporting I've shot before but in a good way. Ko3 vs ko ......The xcel sporting I shot was springy and moved around on my shoulder, it was weird to me.

Wood stock, slight bronze color on the receiver, and shiny blue barrel.

Rob and I met up tonight and shot clays. I feel like I suck at clays but can shoot ducks all day.

I just got the V3 out of jail on Wednesday so didn’t have time to get it set up. I picked up a LOP kit for $25 and Carlson’s modified choke for $40. Once I get those on, I’ll take it back and shoot some clays.

No malfunctions of any kind. I like the shell stop latch in case geese are coming in so I can unload what’s in there and put in a BB load. Also like that you can mount a rail up top for a turkey hunt.

I don’t think it’s going to replace my a300 but will be a good gun for hunting.

Bought my Beretta A300 a couple weeks ago. Love this gun ! Dick's Sporting goods will match your lowest price. I found it at Bass Pro's cheaper, but its a hundred miles away. Printed out the ad, and took it to Dick's, and the Manager matched the price.

We don't do Dicks round these parts, nice job on the A300

It was good to meet new friends, smash some clays, and get a look at a V3. That V3 seems nice! I’ll be sticking with my A300 for awhile. Too bad our SX3 took a fall Going to cost me a few $.

Good meeting you. We’ll definitely shoot clays again!

Maybe J&G can straighten it out? Cerakote the shotgun after it’s fixed?

Where at in NorCal?
I understand SoCal lost interest in finding out the "best" shotgun.
Too bad. It might have been a good experience.. Oh Well.

Girls, girls, girls, let's calm down. As I said, I'm only free during the week. Monday thru Thursday, I'm wide open, Fridays I'm at Raahauge's in Corona. Set something up for those days, and I'm in.

For dove and occasional duck hunting I would go with 20 ga.

Weatherby SA-08, mossberg SA-20, and Stoeger M3020, all really great and very light weight.

We met here.

http://www.altamesagunclub.com/

Was looking at the LOP on the Remington and need another 1/4 - 1/2”. I ordered a kit that will solve that problem. Hoping the comb height is good. The shim supplied is neutral.

One advantage of the a300 is the shims and spacers it’s sold with. I haven’t found a shim kit for the V3 but will keep searching.

V3 has a comfortable recoil pad on it, better than the a300.

So there is a V3 compact model with spacers and shims.

Review of the V3

I think Remington sell shims for V3. Seems to me I red it on a shotgun forum. Give them a call.
BTW, Are you sure you need shims? Their comb is a little lower than one of A300 but not by much.

Edit:
On the link you provided there is a statement: "If you want a cast or drop shim for the V3 you already own, you can get them by calling Remington directly."
So, no problem here, just call them IF you indeed need it. You just need to know exactly what you need because they don't sell it as "it" they sell individual shims.

FYI - Remington V3 shim P/N & MSRP

F303727 $11.95 V3 STOCK SHIM DROP DOWN
F303729 $11.95 V3 STOCK SHIM DROP UP
F303725 $11.95 V3 STOCK SHIM (CAST)

Remington Customer Services:
PH: 1-800-243-9700
FAX: 336-548-7801
Email: info@remington.com

I bought them for my V3 a while ago, and have not tried them yet. You may not be able to find these parts on their website, and I think the quickest way to buy them would be call the 800 number.

They are available online: A little more than you paid but they sell them in pairs. So $8 each. plus shipping flat rate $10. A little pricy.

Thank you. I put my choke in today and think all I need is a longer LOP. Will report back about fitment when I receive and install the $20 spacer kit. It’s on Amazon and a reviewer confirmed it’s a Remington spacer kit that fits on the V3.

Interstate Arms Corp Remington Length of Pull Spacer Kit (Black)

**OP - apologize for mentioning the V3 as I see it’s not one of the shotguns you wanted feedback on. However, being the owner of an a300, I’ll see how this shoots after I get it fitted for me and with the same choke that is in my a300.

Bakerloo - read that you have an 870. The thread pattern on the chokes for the V3 are the same an an 870. This may influence your decision. Not sure about you but I usually spend an extra $100+ on aftermarket choke tubes. I have a Carlson modified, Dead Coyote and Patternmaster. Also picked up an extended 3 set choke tube set from Remington.

Nate, It is great you bought this gun. The price was super great for NIB camo, i was itching for a long time to buy it but i just could not make myself to go to Sac 2 times for DROs.

I'm sure you gonna love it and it will be your primary gun from now on
