Default GSG 1911-22 Dawson Sight Height

Thinking of changing the front sight to a Dawson. Anybody know the height of the original middle height GSG sight? Thanks.

I have called them before and they can figure out what height you need also I think garrantee correct sight picture, and they install too but have good videos on how to do it.

I ordered the Dawson GSG front and rear, and it works perfectly.

I just measured mine for this exact reason. I'll have to recheck the middle one but the tallest stock sight the GSG is .230.

Buy the Dawson front and rear, they're made to work with each other.

This is true, but if you follow the Dawson sight height formula you can order the correct height front sight to correct for point of impact. All of my GSG pistols were slightly different in point of impact with one as much as 6” low. Using the formula to order the right front sight height, I was able to get all of them to shoot to POA.

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!
