Got the PM, thanks Capy. Looking forward to it. I guess we will be reloading and smiling or reloading and crying.

I know, kind of ironic that our reloading clinic happens on the same day we find out about the fate of all magazine fed semi autos in this State. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.

Capy, sent you pm. I'd like to cruise by and hang out for a bit if that's alright. No reloading for me. I will bring cash for lunch and membership in the club.

Let me know please.

Glad to see that yall got it up and going. I was possibly on or off the substitute roster but I might be down in that area tomorrow anyways.

Or maybe not, maybe pasadena is as far as I might make it.

Up, showered, shaved, dressed, found my reloading instructor's stuff now, all I have to do is feed the emu, pig, llama, alpacas, rabbit, geese, ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and pea fowl. Then, I'm off to a fast food drive through before heading over the hill. I hope to be there around 8:30 or so.

Default Report on Sunday, October 13th CGSSA VC Reloading Clinic

Just got home from today's VC Reloading Clinic. We had a great time, taught a lot of new reloaders and had some experienced reloaders join us just to pick up some tips and tricks.

Things that were unusual:
Pistol shooters galore. We only had one rifle reloader, everyone wanted to reload pistol ammo.

Things that were fun:
We didn't think Big Bronco could make it to this clinic but things with his work commitments freed him up to join us so instead of two great instructors (CSA Cannoneer and Bumslie), we had three. This led to a great instructor to student ratio which meant a lot more one on one time for each student.

Things that were the same as the last clinic in June:
Bacon Cheeseburgers. We think we have established a VC Reloading Club tradition, they were great, Stardunk gave Blitzburgh a well deserved break from the grilling duties and did an amazing job, thanks!

We also had several students bring some nice, hefty bags full of brass to donate to the club so thank you guys, they are MUCH appreciated as we try to build up our supplies to hold more clinics.

All in all, a great turnout, ideal weather, Blitzburgh's secret reloading clinic location continues to be just about perfect for us, thank you Blitz! We are already making plans for the next reloading clinic and are looking forward to acquiring all of our own presses and reloading gear so the guys from the LA/OC/IE clubs don't have to drive up with their gear, it is a lot of work and time for them. Our goal is to continue to raise funds, donations and work with manufacturers to make this a reality for us as soon as possible so that we can begin hosting monthly reloading clinics. Enjoy the pictures and special thanks to everyone who was there, Blitzburgh for providing the home base for our club, JJ805 for pitching in with gear, assistance and wisdom, Stardunk for his organizational, administrative and cooking skills, Big Bronco, CSA, and Bumslie for instructing and for everyone who came as a student or observer. Thanks also to Red Monkey and ReadySetGo for bringing the CGSSA/CalGuns swag and for the drawing for a free CGSSA T-Shirt, Patch and autographed "Assaulted - The Movie" DVD for our drawing.

Stay tuned for information about our next clinic and knowledge sessions.

The VC Reloading Club Team

Yes, great crowd of students and instructors. The baconburgers were delicious. Stardunk did a great job with the food, everyone was well fed and more importantly, I think we created some new reloaders.

You HAVE to join us for our next clinic. Not sure if we will have another clinic this year, there are some BTS things going on with equipment availability and with the holidays coming up, not sure how many people will take 2/3 of a Sunday off to learn to reload before the end of the year.

We were talking about possibly holding a brass prep clinic before the holidays though. We would decap, tumble, trim, chamfer and debur as much brass as you could fit into 4-6 hours. Really everything to prep your ammo for reloading. This would be aimed at new reloaders obviously, not old hands. Think I am going to add a poll to this thread to gauge interest in another clinic before the end of the year and or a brass prep clinic.

Hi MsEmmaPeel:

We would love to have you and dBeck29 at the next clinic, stay tuned to this thread to see when that will be. So far, we have six votes in the poll that want us to have the next clinic this year. We need 10 to 12 reloaders and we get about a 20-30% "flake" rate of people who sign up and then don't show up. So realistically, we need 14-16 people to sign up. Just like the airlines, we have to overbook to hit the number we need.

So we'll see what happens with the poll. If we don't get enough people requesting a final clinic this year, the next clinic will be in January, although we are considering the brass prep clinic for this year as well.

I'm interested in the next class as well, just depends on timing. If it's a weekend I'm not overbooked on, and in town, I'm totally in. Gotta start learning how to use my reloading toys before they rust ... inside the box they came in!

We need 10-12 reloaders to hold a clinic. We typically have a 20-30% flake rate so we really need about 14-16 to sign up to have a successful clinic. So far, with the poll, it's looking like there is not enough interest to have another clinic this year.

We'll give it a little more time but it is looking more and more like it will be January 2014 for the next one. We will be doing some marketing to reach a larger potential audience all around Ventura County and the SFV. Our super secret location is only about 25 minutes from Woodland Hills so we should be able to pull from the SFV as well as Ventura County.

Stay tuned to this thread to find out what happens.

IVE are stand up guys and gals. I have bought numerous guns from them, have had a Silver Membership to their range since the day that they opened.

Thank you IVE for the brass! Your support means a lot to us.
