The Comstock Lode couldn’t last forever. What would Nevada be without Las Vegas? Wyoming right?

The mob was in it for their own profits. No public disclosure and no need to grow earnings every quarter. If they were cash cows so be it. That is what you wanted anyway. They knew how to make money while making it affordable and fun for their customers. They made the rooms, food, drinks, etc cheap while making their money on gambling. It is what they knew best. Now, that they are gone, the corporate suits are in charge. It is all about growing profits. They screw you everyway they can. They even charge for parking on the strip. Not making enough money through gambling I guess.

TN is great.
I visit about 1-2 times a year (my god daughters live out there).

However, keep an eye on Nashville.
Progressives are already laying down the ground work to take it over in order to use as their foothold in TN.

Indeed... but with that in mind, where are we to move? I go to TN about once a year, each time I swear I'm going to move there the next week.

I'm 56 years old, I just figure go to a red state where the gun laws are nearly nonexistent and the weather is tolerable and Tenn and Idaho seem to fit the bill pretty well.

I am originally from Georgia. Tennessee is a good spot. Like people have stated, keep an eye on Nashville...Also Memphis as more of the burbs (more conservative than the city) push into Arkansas and Mississippi...

In Tennessee, you can get an 8 year CCW or a lifetime CCW for twice the price...One other thing is that west, central, and east Tennessee are all distinctly different!

The malignant liberal left Democrat cancer spreads.

NOTE: IF you are a democrat, and we all know there are A LOT of democrats on CalGuns ... it's a SoCal thing I guess. And you think your party is NOT for gun control like we are telling you they are ... guess what.

Your vote for democrat, and/or your vote for anything other than conservative - is death to 2A

And after all this ^^^ and all the havoc democrats in office will still drop on us ... I know I am falling on ignorant minds and deaf ears.

Nevada going CA Gun Control ... wow!

^This! Way too true!

There used to be a decent amount of pro gun democratic politicians. Even as recent as 10 years ago or so, there were still some. Today, there are almost zero democratic politicians that are pro 2a. The only one I can think of in California (at the state level) that is fairly pro 2a is Adam Gray from Merced and even he is wishy washy.

I am very conservative personally, but I actually feel for my friends who are moderate democrats who have to choose between 2a rights and their other beliefs that tend to be liberal...

As conservatives, we need to also remember (particularly during the primaries) that just because someone has an R next to their name, does not mean they are pro 2a!

This IS a fact... This means ALL states' gun rights are now in jeopardy when the new House votes for sweeping gun control and several Republican Senators side with them. We are all in danger of becoming California or worst by Federal legislative law.

I think we are in decent shape for at least 2 years still. We would need 3 Senators plus Trump and Pence or 4 Senators plus Trump to vote anything in. That also assumes Manchin & Tester vote anti 2a (I think they both would right now, specifically Tester). You also have Sinema in AZ who campaigned on being moderate. I do not believe her for one bit, but many people think she will actually be moderate and may not vote against 2a...

However, we have seen how this logic worked with bump stocks...

Heads up for TN...

Yesterday, TN Republicans just introduced a "red flag" firearm confiscation bill into the TN legislature. The Republicans control the TN legislature, if this bill gets passed, it's because TN Republicans made it so.

I certainly do not want it to happen, but I have a feeling that it will be nationwide within 15 years...Scary times!

NOT to be outdone, here's our own $3 bill Peduto,(whiny-@$$ mayor of Pittsburgh) and his dipshiite invitation to jump on the gun banwagon.

Thankfully, PA's own constitution is gonna tell him to stick it where the sun DON'T shine, and twirl on it.

Several meaning about 10?

They need 60 votes.

They won't get all of the democrats and they'd be lucky to get two GOP senators. They *might* get one.

National gun control legislation is mostly dead. The fight now is to reshape the court.

I worry about Susan Collins as she faces reelection in 2 years in a blue leaning state. However, Maine is a gun friendly state, especially for a blue state.

Cory Gardner also faces reelection in a state that is turning bluer by the day. However, he has been pretty solidly pro 2a...

I don't think that is a good measure to use. I could say the same thing about my area of AZ. There are probably only a couple of dozen democrats in the entire county.

However, there are literally millions of them in the major metro areas of AZ.

The new NV attorney general is all for implementing the background check law as well.

The rural urban divide has really hit NV.

We moved to Nevada, just in time to be greeted by this. Just like California, it's a case of the tail wagging the dog. Las Vegas, and Reno, contain about 87% of the population, and thus, the votes. This state is very red, other than those two areas. We're to old to move again, so we're in for the fight.....

All my past friends from H.S. were Democracks, from those that wanted to attend college, all went to UNLV, and live there quite a while before moving back to Cali. They said they loved it there.

NV must have something that attracts Liberals to go there a lot, and the Liberals that attend UNLV probably planning something against NV.

FYI.
The next NV Attorney General, gets sworn in 01-2019, has stated that he will be pursuing avenues to implement NV universal background check laws ASAP.

AFAIK...
He is already in talks with CA DOJ BOF about developing a NV DROS system, NV firearm registration system, and NV Dangerous Weapons permit system.

So it's partially or full true to say Hello Nevadafornia? Lol

Not meaning it in a awful way, but i'm thinking it'll start some stops for some NV residents to make fun of CA and our sheety gun laws.

The people of Nevada voted for background checks for ppt 2 years ago.. Narrowly.. but it passed.. Just not enforced because it was for an FBI check.. FBI said a state can't dictate how it operates. New AG will remove FBI ftom the equation and enforce the "will" of the people of Nevada...

It's why they are looking to implement their own background check system (similar to the CA DROS system), since it will not rely on FBI NICS.

A NV Dangerous Weapons permit. Does that mean the roids are going to have to issue themselves a permit since they are a clear danger to the Constitution and country?

It's how they (NV Gov) will get NV FFL dealers/manufacturers to get on board with new proposed laws/regulations that will regulate the ownership/possession of NFA firearms.

Similar to how CA allows the entertainment industry to have AW/DD/MG/SBR/SBS for use as props in movies/tv, NV will use it to allow the NV firearm rental industry to keep being able to use AW/DD/MG/SBR/SBS for range rental use, while they restrict them for non-exempt persons.

Coming to a state near you. Texas will turn in one generation as will Arizona. 55% of school age children in AZ are immigrants. That is growing quickly.

The problem in California was our votes were cancelled out by newcomers, 2 to 1. Hope your kids enjoy living in India in a few decades.
