Default AZ: Prescott Shooting Range Closed

Just got an email that PSR on Iron Springs is closed. Iím a member, but havenít been there for a couple of weeks since I bought a gun and some ammo. Lobby is too small with so many people buying guns and wanting to buy ammo.

Per the email, theyíll be be open for first responders so you may see vehicles in the parking lot (they have contracts with various agencies), but theyíre closed to the public.

That is a real bummer. I'm fortunate enough to belong to a club that has card access. When my wife and I go there to practice during the week there might be 1 or 2 folks at one of the rifle pits. Doesn't help your situation much since I'm in Idaho.

Plenty of room for social distancing at Doce this morning.

I tried Contreras road a few days ago and it was busy. Three different groups in the first spot and others along the road. I finally made a right at the end where it Tís (66) and went down a ways. Others were shooting but I was able to find a spot.

Chino Valley outdoor range is still open and they are still having classes as well. It's a small well-maintianed range that was recently taken over by new management.

I just go shoot outside though.

All the more reason to be an RSO at your local club.

Is that out Perkinsville Rd? Iíve shot at the Chino PD range (I think itís also called the ProForce LE Range) also on Perkinsville Rd but I believe there may be a range further down the road.

I too prefer just to find a place outside. Plenty of places to do that in Yavapai.

Correct, it's right next to the PD range.

I just keep going down Perkinsville Rd though until I hit the national forest.

Theyíre re-opening on May 2. Theyíll only have every other lane open, must wear masks and only allowing three people at a time in the retail area.
