I'm too old for a flat brim, but thanks anyway.

I'll agree with Daniel Tosh- the flat brimmed Cap is the Dunce cap of the 2000's

Just bend the brim of the hat! All hats are "flat brimmed" when new. Bend gently, put a rubber band to hold the form when it's new.

OR am I so old that this doesn't work anymore?

Isn't that what we used to do back in the day?

I think the flat brimmed hats are wider and have support in them so they don’t work like that. Could be wrong though because I’ve never bought one.

Flat brim hats don't work that way. They are not intended to be curved or rolled. The are wider and if you roll the brim the top of the hat gets creases and only the front of the bill takes on much of the roll and the back near your skull stays relatively flat. This gives the hat an odd look if rolled. Today's flat brimmed hats are not like the hats of yesteryear.

You can totally curve the brim. Maybe not roll it, but you can curve this enough to make it look not flat.

Yep, roll it around a 25oz Foster's beer, rubber band it for a few days, wear proudly.
