OK took a little time but here it is.

As listed in a previous post in this thread this is my setup. It is heavy at 4.5 pounds just for the tripod and head. The position the rifle is in is my Kneeling position. I bought a Magpul 7" rail and used T nuts to mount it to the stock. It's not that hard to modify a stock for a Arca rail.

The tripod does come with spiked feet that replace the rubber feet if needed.

All for less than the cost of a Hog Saddle, Arca rail and T nuts included.

Here's the funny thing. The tripod has a removable third leg for use as a mono pod. But that converts the tripod to a bipod. A bipod that goes from 12" to 61" in range and everywhere in between. Not very useful on a PRS course of fire but would be funny on an barricade that allows the use of a bipod and you could shoot in a far more comfortable position although most likely not very stable.

Default Tripods for long range shooting and hunting?

Speaking of tripods——

We are hosting a team field match in November in Central Ca. This can be shot as an individual or we can hook people up.

This will be a chance to really use your Tripod, tall shooting sticks or whatever gets you up and stable. The shooting areas will be all natural slopes, with some dead space from other hills that will be best addressed with the sticks or tripods.

PM me for details.

This is a great way to get a ton of practice for hunting with a tripod or any practical field type use .

My version of the Able table.

I did machine a pocket .125 deep in the base of the plate to accept the arca rail piece and lock it in so it's not relying on torque of a screw or the grip of the rubber. about two hours start to fining on the plate.
Plate started off as a 1"x6"x10" chunk of 6061. It will work just fine. I'll cerakote it tonight to have it ready for this weekends match.
