Default FFL 03 Turnaround Time

BATFE must be getting their act together.

The $30 application fee for my FFL 03 was withdrawn from my bank on 06/18/19 and I received the license in the mail today 07/05/19.

05/02 - Applied

06/03 - Application returned, saying credit card had been declined and I forgot to list which county I was in. Heaven only knows why my credit card was declined, I checked, double checked and triple checked and the number was good.

06/04 - Sent corrected application with US Postal money order

Nothing received to date

Just filled out my renewal this morning. Kept looking for the county section you referred to so I wouldn't miss it but I guess your application was a first time deal because the renewal does not have any line item for county of residence.

As for the money, it's fitting that it is the first thing you fill out. Priorities, priorities, priorities.

08/04 - FFL received.

As a side note - I would love to see every gun owner with an 03 FFL and COE. I view them as a middle finger salute to the people's republic of california.

All that would happen is that Ca. would quit honoring them and either eliminate COEs or make them substantially more of a PITA to get. I actually think this is probably coming sooner rather than later, honestly.

I sent in my renewal on 7-27. Received my new 03 in the mail today. Mine expired on 7-31...

Sort of forgot about it until the last minute.

I sent my change-of-address in and I had the new one in-hand 2 weeks later.
Unfortunately, they issued me a new number but kept the expiration date the same, so I will have to renew in 6 months

Mine took a total of 86 days from when I mailed my application (5/21/2019) to when I received the license (8/15/2019).

I just about to contact them to find out the status when the mail arrived...

So, the grand total time from dropping my FFL application in the mailbox to receiving a shipment from TSUSA on my doorstep was 97 days.
