Not in the last 6 month, but four years ago it took 33 days from the time they received the package to the time they issued a license. I received it 5 days later.
Livescan is CA-only thing. FD-258 is the only way. I went to a local PD, it was something like $20 or $25. |

Also, if someone has say an Arizona CWP and intends on moving there in the near future (same for Utah CFP) then I would not bother with Florida, because once you move and become a resident of the state that issued your permit (AZ/UT) you will then be good to go for Florida without the Florida permit. |

Very hard to find an LE agency that will do fingerprints right now because of covid, so I wouldn’t even bother with Florida for the time being. Better get an Az CCW they don’t care who does your prints
|

It took me 2 days to make and appointment with my local PD. I just received my permit with DD214.
