Default Utah CCW

Utah plans to eliminate CCW permit - are there sources that describe what will happen with existing permits?
Will Utah still issue for out-of-state residents? Will they still be honored on another states?

Constitutional Carry. No permit required, but you can still apply and own one.

Doubtful they're going to completely eliminate the permit. AZ has had Constitutional carry for several years and they still have the permit.

This. Same with ID. Even if they’re constitutional carry, residents and non-residents can still apply for permits to use when not in UT.

Utah permitting process unchanged and Utah recognition with/of other states permits will be unchanged by this. It only allows concealed con-carry in Utah.

And it's official!

SALT LAKE CITY Just as he said he would do, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox signed a bill Friday that will allow Utah residents to carry concealed weapons without a permit.

You'll still need it for the reciprocity states.

Also, Utah residents use the permits when purchasing firearms in lieu of a background check, and many private sellers ask to see them during a transaction. They're probably not going away, just not required to carry.

Bingo! Your class has to be conducted by a Utah certified instructor!

Any suggestions on how to find one still operating during a pandemic? There are lots of web pages that are not current.

Are your looking for training just for UT? I did my training through Tap Rack Bang in Orange County (They also certified for LA County, AZ and UT). Im not sure where you were looking but I did my in-person training in the middle of the pandemic, in September.
