Default We no longer like guns, we like "Precision Sports"

That's right, forget the terms gun folks, gun nuts, firearm enthusiasts..etc. According to YouTube their new term to replace those bad/evil words like "guns" or "firearms" is..
"precision sports".

I first noticed it when it was suggesting categories at the top of my YouTube homepage like "tools, movies, audiobooks, camping, and precision sports"
So I do a search there for "precision sports" and it gives me a list of ALL gun videos.
Wikipedia says precision sports is still what we might normally think... darts, archery, bowling, golf and marksmanship.

So, my fellow precision sportsmen and sportswomen, what's your opinion on this?
Or if you don't have one can you suggest a more vague term?
Extra points if it's funny or if it seriously works better then the old terms like gun nuts.

It's dumb.

Honestly, we are so far beyond cute semi vague words being of use at this point. It won't fool anyone and it won't achieve anything.

Moreover, we should ALL stop kowtowing to the leftists. How we got here in the first place was by not speaking up, trying to fly under the radar, letting the left dictate the terms, etc.

We like GUNS. If the left doesn't like it they can eat a bowl of dic...err...penises (it's a family forum so I'm using proper terminology).

Well, umm, it proves they have never ever been to a shooting range. Precision? With all those holes in the side barrels and ceiling?

^ Haaahaaha! You guys are cracking me up!

"Precision-ish Sportsman" ?

On the bright side, now that we're all "professional precision sports persons"...
I think our National Precision Sports League says we get to protest something and it automatically gets broadcast on all the mainstream media for about 6 months.

are they still calling auto sears on eBay "trigger flippers"?
Maybe there is a new name by now for "solvent traps" too?

reminds of back in high school and trying to join the paintball club.

one of the rules was you can't say "paintball gun" you had to use "paintball markers" and if you were caught using the gun word, you would be kicked out.

yeah i walked out of that club meeting right after he said that.

No. You're letting the leftists win by wordsmithing to prevent upsetting their delicate feelings. Screw them. It's a frikken gun. It's reality. Live with it.

To qualify as sporting, actual movement would have to be involved.

HA! I found this especially funny. 95% of my shooting is with a scattergun blasting clays. All I need is one or two pellets out of 300+ to make contact. There’s nothing “precision” about it.

Euphemisms are so stupid sometimes...

I could see the strategy in using a less threatening word than guns. Liberals do it all the time such as "Affordable" Care Act or Gun violence reduction act. Might as well beat them at their own game.

Interestingly, if you've ever taken the NRA instructor courses, the curriculum says not to use the word 'weapon' because of its negative connotations.

with ammo hard to come by, you better be shooting every round like your last one.
