Default Franchi Alcione

I'm not much of a shotgun guy. In +50 yrs of shooting I now own three - an Ithaca 20 gauge Ultra Lightweight in 20 Gauge and a Trench Shotgun in 12 Gauge. I just bought a Franchi Alcione 12 Gauge with screw in chokes, has the extended types in it now and I'd like to buy additional chokes. I know the chokes I'd like to buy but have no idea what fits this gun. Do "standard" Franchi fit? I see lots on the MGW website. The Franchi is Benelli stamped, do Benelli chokes work?

The gun comes with IC and SK (skeet) chokes but I'd like to add a few options. Any help appreciated.

And, any opinions on the shotgun?

I haven't kept up on Franchi chokes. They've had a variety over the years.

I'd check Briley's site to see if they interchange with something.

It looks like there are 2 types of choke tubes used, depending on when it was made. https://www.choketube.com/choke-tube-listing-R.php

You could email Franchi with your serial number and ask them. Do you know which model Alcione you have (there were several different Alcione models made). https://www.franchiusa.com/contact-us

Briley indicates they use the mobil choke, which is primarily Beretta and some other Italian mfgs. I think Benelli uses them in some shotguns and not others.

Many moons ago there was a Franchoke.

I've got a bunch of Mobil chokes if you want to compare. Probably even some flush chokes I could part with.

The flush factory Bretta chokes are often found on ebay and gunbroker for pretty cheap.

Thanks, I checked out Brileys and they show chokes for Franchi so I gave those a try. MGW shows Alcione specific, bot a few of those. Will see what fits and maybe reach out. Glad to have finally bought something where parts are available and not too expensive, for a change.
