Purrrrtttyyy!!! Going to have to put some kind of optic on it. Just noticed that there's a chip in the front of the rear sight blade that won't affect function but may as well upgrade!

Looks like their 22" offering, but his wide-angle phone lens pic exaggerates the effect of lengthiness.

NOICE! Spyder!

Hahahha, no fancy phone camera tricks there! Just tilted away I guess.

Ammo will be here Thursday, I'll blast it all up for brass then start loading my own. I'm already in lust.

She a beauty Spyder. Turners has had the G model on sale for less than $500.00 (I may be wrong on this. It seems like they have been advertised for around $480.00) but I really like the pistol grip on these vs the straight.

I always like the one that's not made. It would be a good addition to my sons collection. I showed him his new Wichester today. He wasn't all that excited about it.

Mark, you finally got the '92 back? How's it look? And, how are you doing?
A bit more painting at my house and maybe some shooting. Like I mentioned, no rush.

Don't know. I absolutely have not picked it up and cycled it and shot every branch and leaf off the tree out the back door a couple dozen times since I came home with it, so I can't tell you how great a well cared for pre Remington Marlin feels.

Well... it’s spring time anyways. The leaves will grow back!

Enjoy Hawaii.

Just realized I never put pictures here of the new 45-70.

Guess I'll have to add pictures of the new pre-safety JM 44 I'm getting this week too.

You people are unhealthy for my finances.

In other news...

I was at my dealer's earlier this week... and there were side-by-side an 1894 and 1895.

This is the size difference...

IMG_0656.jpg

Of the five stainless Marlins you're looking at starting from the left, there are two 1894 CSBL, an 1894 SBL, the 1895 SBL (.45-70) and then an 1894 CST

CSBL - .357
SBL - .44
CST - .357

haha, excellent shot.
And I guess I did put a 45-70 picture up there at the top of this page, so I wasn't delinquent. Pre safety 1894 44Mag pic will be coming when I get it. Scheduled transfer for next week.

Chris it looks like that shop has a few leverguns....local to you?

We need to get out. I know you said you were going to be working a lot after your Montana trip.
The Mojave isn't too bad this time of year. Its a dry heat

You and Tom created a monster. I've been reloading like a mad man.

Same here. Rather than cleaning and organizing the reloading area by putting stuff away, I'm using up components as fast as I can. Unsure how many bullets I've gone through, but three pounds of pistol powder in the last 2 weeks!

Mark, that's M.B. Retting, in Culver City. The best gunstore in town!

I've been keeping an eye on the weather up that way. I'm still between assignments. You just say the word.

Looking forward to seeing what you've put together. Be good to see you and Tom.

But I shooouuullldddd make the SSZS this fall. Planning on it anyway, long as nothing goes wrong at the last minutes!

I'm sure we can figure out a place to shoot mid way. Maybe get some other shooters in the mix. Tom and me are retired, Chris is a week or two behind us.

Your closed to the coast?

I'll be heading out of state again in Aug for a week, then late Sept/early Oct, its up to Bridgeport to help a bud out who drew an X12 tag. This has been one fun filled summer! I like this retirement stuff. we'll get some MLC shooting figured out soon. Friggin' HOT out in the Mojave right now.

The temps at Boron are 72@7am and 91@11am. We could get out there around 6-7 and shoot unitl it gets too hot. Maybe try to get out there a little sooner.

I have some loads for my 30-30 I want to test. Get out a few of my ARs.

I've been shooting at the indoor range here in RC, I still suck with a handgun, of course its the ammos fault.Got some loads I'd like to run through the model 92s and Marlin too.
