I have a really great condition beretta bm59 mod 62, also known as the bm62, a very rare variation of the m1/m14 style rifle from what ive gathered and a lot of collectors have told me. Supposedly there were only 2000 imported into america. The only sad thing is the rubber butt pad is brittle with age and starting to harden up so the buttpad is about a 6/10, but can be easily replaced for cheap.
The magazine is now in texas
My grandpa was county for 34 years, 20 years as the sheriff, and had an array of firearms, i was given his service revolver and this rifle. The revolver ill never depart with, but this rifle has no significance to the family.

The prices ive seen have posted on the internet are fairly high, ive even seen low quality conditions go for $2800, so the market must be there. I just have no clue as to what current day market is.

Its marked as followed on top of reciever

P.Beretta
Made in italy
002007

Its marked on the side of reciever as followed

Mod. 62. 308 W Berben corp. N.Y.N.Y.

And lastly towards the end of the gas system it has what looks like an 8mm allen screw and says the following

. PB * bm59
