Default Legal Question: Freedom Week 2019 magazines

I have some magazines I got during the 2019 freedom week (I think it was late March early April). Since then, I haven’t touch or used these magazines as I was confused of the rules after they became illegal again. Can I use these magazines or use them for my CCW carry? I bought them legally that week, so wasn’t sure if that means I could use them.

Standard magazines were sold out quickly and I ended up buying these mags from a third party during freedom week, I think someone off Armslist, for almost double the price. Lol

Now these mags just sit around collecting dust because of my uncertainty. I would love to carry some of these with my CCW, but I don’t won’t to jeopardize my CCW permit.

Read all of this carefully, specifically Subsection IV: https://crpa.org/news/blogs/crpa-ale...-ordered-stay/

Who’s your IA?

OCSD allows for legally owned 10+ mags to be carried in a ccw firearm.

Thank you! Great information!

IA? I’m not familiar with that abbreviation.

My CCW was issued in Sacramento County.

Do you think I’ll have an issue since I don’t have any receipt of the transaction? Once again, these were purchased from a third party/private seller because everything was sold out at the time.

Then the Sacramento County Sheriff is your IA (Issuing Authority).

No. The state has the burden of proving you guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If you tell them that you acquired your magazines during Freedom Week, then the government would have to prove that you did not in order to convict you of illegally acquiring them. You do not have to prove your innocence.

And, a thread whose title begins with "Legal Question" clearly belongs in the "How CA Laws Apply to/Affect Me" Forum ...

Moved.
