Those are nice. I never branched out much in fixed blade collection... had a few customs and Busse stuff. Always checked out the DPX and BRK though. Still have dozens of Busse or Scrap Yard or Swamp Rats. Occasionally will buy one, but keep it minimized. It got out of control for a while... room started looking like Busse warehouse. I have a lot of Regulators and a few Team Gemini's.

The story behind that scene is kinda funny, apparently Harrison Ford was pretty ill and didn't want to do the originally scripted sword fight, so he suggested the change last minute.

I'd read that - but that scene works on SO many levels!

They make high quality production Traditional knives and some fixed blades, mostly in 1095 steel. The quality of a GEC VS. a Swiss Army Knife or similar is like a ZT compared to $5 gas station knife. IMHO.

Yeah, they look nice, I'm curious as to why the other poster said to avoid them specifically out of the thousands of US knifemakers

I’m very familiar with GEC. You can’t make a traditional do what a modern frame lock can do, but to find a better traditional you’d have to buy customs.

You certainly can’t make any 3.5” folder do what a 8” fixed blade can do.
