Jason Fong jail record says he is schedule for arraignment today (5/22). But his name is not on the calendar. At this point, he may not be arraigned until next Tuesday. They have 72 hours, but weekends and holidays are excluded.

Due to COVID arraignments can be delayed up to 7 days

Y'all bail experts realize he could be held for 10 counts of separate 100k felonies and still reach 1M, right? Or perhaps his "weapons violations" earned him an initial "domestic terrorism" charge of 1M.

Looking at the bail schedule and only picking out the 1M charges is not going to narrow the list down any more than using a peep stone in a dark room.

Dang, they rolled him good, turning his 72 into a 120.

Tuesday it is.

OK, so what did he do? Bring home some cherry bombs? Or a roman candle? Or was this really serious?

I have little faith in law enforcement these days. Between the FBI's BS in Washington and cops enforcing clearly un-constitutional orders on lock downs, I have grave concerns about what will happen when the tyrannical Democracks order the wholesale confiscation of guns and ammo.

Looks to me like cops have caved to keeping their jobs over upholding the US Constitution.

If this guy really is a bad guy, I say good job LE. But leave the wanna-be seal team at home next time.

If they were watching him for weeks he was likely involved in some kind of online dialogue with informant. They string them along to build the case.

Orange County Jail website says it does not list charges for security purposes. You must be a lawyer or bail bonds agent. The San Diego Jail lists all charges for inmates.

right now they are probably trying to figure out how to get out of this without losing face totally in the eyes of the public. I have a feeling the reasoning for the warrant has a few too many "assumes", "I think", "could be", "might" and a few other adjectives that do not contain any facts and only what the prosecutors think might have been going on. The mistake is that what was going on was inside the prosecutor's head and not the real world. The longer the cops delay, try to plea bargain, and refuse to release facts not supposition the less likely there is a case. this is known as an abuse of power under tyrants.

That's true, they do that... sometimes it seems like they encourage people to plan things so they can bust them. Everyone is liable for the things they do but there have been some questionable cases that seem to approach entrapment.

I didn't see explosives disposal teams in the coverage, maybe just uneven news coverage, but if he was busted for explosives violation(s), there should have been bomb squad members everywhere plus they would have emptied the neighborhood as a precaution.

Funny I latched onto this comment. Hopefully you understand the distinction between forbidding someone to do something to their body vs forcing someone to do something to their body. But the mask thing doesn't even belong in either of those 2 scenarios because there could be no actual mandate for people to put a mask on their face. It's more like, if you want to participate in society, you'll have to put one on; otherwise, no soup, fries, Walmart adventure for you.

It's more like, sure you can own a gun, but you'd have no where to shoot it. Or you can have a CCW, but all business prohibit.

EDIT - Actually, its not like any of the above - it's more like, I want to urinate right here right now because it's my body. The mask isn't for your protection, it's for the protection of others.

Checking the trunk guy was super super careful.

Where is the guy on CalGuns that was looking for clay targets? There was a box of White Flyers in the suspect's parents garage. Family is facing 1M bail. Could be a good deal.

There is not enough info as to the reason behind the arrest. However, it is telling with that much juice behind the arrest and search. They have him for something significant.

Nice to see high quality unedited video.

The FBI made sure to do the arrest in a way that was successful. Good for them.

I'll go with dealing in firearms without a license.

I also heard a radio report on this arrest on KFI. The report stated that it was 1 of multiple arrests that the CA AG was proud to announce. Information from ammo BG checks were also a part of the case.

Maybe its that explanation that some have stated on this forum before the ammo BG check was enacted relating to buying ammo in a caliber that the state has no record of you owning a firearm for?

I mean, lots of explanations for that before knocking down someone's front door, but that could create the fishing expedition for cases that a staunch anti gun CA AG is looking for?

So, three pages of the usual CG paranoia, anti-government rants and conspiracy theories. The MAGA crowd that now questions ANY action by ANY government institution because unless it comes directly from the mouth of the 'great leader' it isn't true.

But days later, no one really knows what the hell this guy was busted for?
