2014 has nothing to do with magazines. If one brought large capacity mags into California after 2000, they did so illegally.
As of right now any lawfully owned LCMs either owned prior to 2000 in California or purchased during "freedom week" are legal to possess and use. The law making them illegal remains on the books. There is a federal court injunction barring enforcement of two subsections of the law that deal with possession and surrender or removal of the lawfully owned mags. When we have a final ruling on the court case that is in slow motion we will have a definite answer one way or the other. I don't know of any solid timeline for that ruling to happen. |

Did you read the PDF attached to the first post? That's what answers your question.

There was some one on here that modified the magazines to hold more than ten rounds for people who placed order during that time but did not receive any do to them being sold out. So it was legal for them to own the full capacity magazines as they where made during the legal period.

unless you have corroborated record of sale, and even if you do, whether they chose to prosecute is really up to the whim of the district attorney, all legal expenses courtesy of the tax payer. then there are also cases where the magazine is just confiscated. there's basically zero consistency. to be 100% safe you need to keep your real magazines locked away at home and just use the ca compliant magazines in public.
