Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Oooh, those are the ones that come with the magazine extension too, pretty rare in 2022.

I believe they are Cerakote. However for now, the new made in the USA Enhanced Tactical model with the factory extended tube is only available in black.

Yes. Same as Vinnie’s above. They came out in August with the solid full length tube from Beretta. Some call them the Enhanced Gen3.

Here’s what that tube looks like and my FDE two tone enhanced 1301.

Bob

Sweet rides gentleman! Bob, mine will look the mirror image of yours in that last picture, I'll have the black stock and foregrip witjh the FDE barrel and receiver.

IF I can ever have a life and have the time to build it. Big pile of parts sitting on my build shelf just staring at me. Work has been keeping me too busy, weekends too.

All of them are from Italy. They just install the 7 round Italian tube over here to allow importing which is 5 round Max.

I am pretty sure the new Enhanced ones say made in US.

If they did what you suggest, it would be a 922r violation.

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/922

Quote:
(r) It shall be unlawful for any person to assemble from imported parts any semiautomatic rifle or any shotgun which is identical to any rifle or shotgun prohibited from importation under section 925(d)(3) of this chapter as not being particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes except that this subsection shall not apply to—
The only way they could do what you suggest is if they were for sale to government/LE only.

I suppose it is possible they are replacing enough imported parts with US parts to beat the 922r violation.

Do you have one and can you post a pic of your rollmarks on the left side of the receiver?

You might be right but most likely from importing Parts….(?)

Not sure Beretta has a casting/barrel making/tooling capability here in the States. But I’am not sure.

If you look at this gunbroker listing, you can see what it says on the box (Made in USA)
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/918328180

And yet the receiver says made in Italy

Unfortunately in that listing we cannot see every area of the gun where there could be other markings, so who knows what they are up to. We need someone who has one in their hands to go over it with a fine tooth comb and report any and all markings.

Or we can just shoot and enjoy them? I don't care where mine was made, it shoots great!

Question wasn’t about the level of care where it’s made but rather about possible build quality/quality of materials differences. You know, M9 vs 92 type of stuff

I am just curious from a legal standpoint, I don't question the quality difference. But the legal questions have implications beyond this shotgun and that is interesting to me...

We need an example of just one individual gun owner who's been cited by the BATFE for a 922(r) violation, since 922(r) was issued.

Got one???

The only prosecution I can recall was the owner of Royal Tiger Imports (or one of it's many other names) who did not follow the ATF's instructions on destroying FA frames.

There is typically no way to know how many people get charged or convicted for a given crime or their names. And plenty of people get charged with X and plead guilty to Y to stay out of prison or avoid a felony - hundreds or thousands of times every single day. Proceeding as if it has never happened would be foolish.

All we can be sure of is what the law says - and that a large firearms manufacturer isn't going to flaunt it.

We also know that ATF considers it a level 1 charge - the most serious, documented here

https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s...e-4/output.xls

Quote:
ATF's evaluation of the severity of the offenses it is reporting is shown as the "ATF Charge Rank" above the UCR Offense Code. This ranking is based on the best professional judgement of ATF management, is subject to change, and is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

Cannot be serious, but may be overly concerned with someone else's business.
