Default Anyone have mag fitment issues with their KAC rifles?

I have this KAC SR-30 lower which seems to be super picky about mags. Early magpul Gen 1 will slide easily and drop freely, Gen 2 I have to force in and force out. Same thing with Stanag/Nato usgi type mags , some work flawlessly and some I have to fight. KAC said its not a known issue and I went well passed the warranty before ever using that lower.

It is only on this KAC lower I have this issue so If anyone has had this issue and could point me in a direction before I start grinding out that mag well.

Wear appears to be even on the mag well so I do not know if it specifically one area.

Thanks

So I have been experimenting with my SR-30s. Itís weird. 10-round and 40-round PMAG M3s drop free. 30-round PMAG M3s donít. Maybe I got a batch that was made too large. Lancers of all size drop free. Surefire 60-round drop free. H&K steel and polymer drop free.

Yeah I bought 200+ of their mags for 556 but I'm done as well overall. Lancer mags are far superior imo.

I believe magpul replaced some mag bodies (free) for me a long time ago due to fitment issues in some rifles. Maybe start with them before you grind on your rifle.

Please, please do not "grind out the magwell" on your KAC.

Exactly how many different types of magazines have you tried?

How many different specific models?

It's possible the lower is slightly out of spec, but IMO, more likely that the mags are.

KAC is legendary for good reason.

I implore you to try a few more mags & don't "grind on" your lower.....
