Default Relocation and purchase restrictions

At what point does a person officially become a "CA resident" when they are moving to the state?

Ca id or ca d/l mandatory. lots of posts use search. For purchase here, Buy as long as you have out of state id there. Just do not buy for resale here.

There really is no 'bright line', 'now you live in CA' event.

There are actions which lead the State to conclude you reside here - things like getting a CA DL, getting CA licenses for your vehicles, registering to vote, enrolling children in CA schools.

I've been saying that for years ...

There is no value at all complaining or analyzing or reading tea leaves to decide what these bills really mean or actually do; any bill with a chance to pass will be bad for gun owners.

The details only count after the Governor signs the bills.
