Default What size Butler Creek Flip-Up Covers fit the Leupold Patrol 3-9x40 Scope?

What size Butler Creek Flip-Up Covers fit the Leupold VXR Patrol 3-9x40 Scope?

Need both front and rear. It came with a bikini cover. Thinking of upgrading to flip-up covers but would like an experts advice on what sizes I need.

In the past when I tried figuring this out on my own based on the website specs I ended up with ones that were loose. I am hoping somebody has already figured this out for theirs and can tell me what fits.

Also, for my edification. What model scope mounts fit best? I am mounting this on a flatop AR. A Noveske Recon Hunter upper to be exact. I currently am using the Leupold Mark 2 mount. If I were to upgrade to American Defense would the Recon-30 or Recon-30X work best? Do I need to go with a raised 20 MOA or 30 MOA mount or is the standard version fine? What about if I go with Larue, what model fits best?

Thanks.

Measure the objective and the ocular bell, then look on the chart below & find what fits.

Although personally, I prefer Vortex scope covers as a budget option. The hinges are stronger & the covers can flip to almost all the way flat.

As for an angled mount, they are typically used for very long distances so that you're not at the limit of adjustment for your scope. However, most people who shoot at distance are also not limited to just 9x. So in other words, just get the zero angle mount.

Just bought a gently used Larue offset mount for it.

Thinking about a UBR stock. Have yet to try one of those out yet. I am hoping that would let it fit in a 5.11 Covrt Sling Pack I have. But I doubt it. That muzzle break probably makes it just a touch too long. Especially with the front bipod adding some girth.

Just went through this with this scope--

https://www.brownells.com/optics-mou...?sku=100028619

Wanted the Blizzard see-through caps. Did my homework, and ordered a #7 and a #4. #7 is a perfect fit on the objective in front. #4 is too small for the rear eyepiece. Even if you get it on the scope, the cap will not stay closed. So ordered a # 5 knowing it would be loose. Put a layer of duct tape around the inside of the rubber sleeve and it works fine.

I would spend the money on the leupold aluminum covers. They are very nice Pricey, but worth it. You won’t regret buying them.

You have a Leupold scope. Use their covers. Superior to Butler Creeks. Friends don't let friends buy Butler Creek. Yes, they're expensive, but they will probably outlast the scope:
