Default Ryobi Days 2021

We had a pretty good thread last year for guys looking to add to their tool collection so here is the link for this year's deals

Ryobi Days 2021

As usual the deal is if you buy 2 batteries for $99, you get a free tool (one of 16 pre selected tools)
I really wish they had some offerings for the HP line and HP batteries

p.s. last year some guys had success ordering the combo and cancelling half the order so they simply paid the pro-rated price on either the batteries or the tool (because not everyone needs both)

Seeing mixed results online whether that still works.

One of the free tools is a HP battery.

Sucks it's only on battery tools.

The impact driver is not brushless. Is this worth it? Would I be better off waiting for a deal on the HP line and/or brushless impact driver?

I already grabbed the batteries and a hedge trimmer. My local store had to pull it down from the racking, but it worked IN store as well. When the Customer service punched everything in, it gave the discount.

I am thinking of grabbing another combo with the osculating tool... Not sure Ill need 4 batteries, but hey why not!

The ryobi days impact driver was the first ryobi tool I ever bought. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Makes a decent light impact wrench as well with an adapter.

I’ve used that impact for a few years. Not a pro, but heavy DIY use. Completely remodeled two restrooms, built tons of outdoor furniture, a fence and some other things. I’ve been very happy with it for the money I paid for it. I’d say buy with confidence.

The impact is good to go, keeps up with my makita 18v brushed impact. Battery lasts a long time brushless isn’t necessary with 2-4.0ah batts

Don’t know about the discounts but since you started a Ryobi thread, here is a Ryobi bucket misting fan that I bought, since I live in the IE (former 909 area, aka the land of dirt) and the summer heat is coming. Paid full price but they are selling for nearly double on E-bay as they were impossible to find last summer. Works great and sits on a Home Depot or Lowe’s $3 utility bucket for its water source.

I took mine to Yuma last year for the dove opener. Great thing to have.

Like2Fly-

Thanks for posting the bucket mister. By the time I was convinced I should buy one last summer, they were gone. Plenty in stock at my local HD. Appreciate the reminder.

I bought one to take to Lake Havasu a couple weeks ago. It works pretty good. I ordered the three pack of batteries and the two batteries plus two lights. .

All of my battery powered tools are Milwaukee M18 Fuel, but the mister and lights plus seven batteries now will be put to good use on camping and hunting trips.

FYI. The small air compressor listed for $24 on sale, and part of the buy two batts deal...

Has a regular on shelf price of $20 at HD in San Marcos.

Shenanigans IMO.

Good deal if you need more batteries and you can find a tool that you need.

You can intermittently find better tools-only deals at directtoolsoutlet.com but the HD combo is pretty good.

Long thread on slickdeals.

2 cases of the mister fan at the Brea store. Think I'll get back there tomorrow. I write the date and I number my batteries. Right now the oldest pair that I have is 3/15

For anyone who maybe doesn't need another brushed tools but wants a deal on batteries, I can confirm this works.

Go in store and grab TWO of the battery two packs, when they ring up, the register automatically discounts the second box as it acts like your 'free tool'.
4 batteries (4ah) for $99 is what you end up.

I'll upload a pic of my receipt if anyone is interested

Scratch, my old blue Ryobi batteries finally started to fail last year and the one that went first was probably close to 20 years old.

Obviously mileage may vary but thus far I've always had good luck with Ryobi batteries. Plus it's nice their battery shape doesn't change so you'll be able to continue to use old batteries or even new batteries in the older devices.

I thought the Blue or the Yellow ones were NiCd or NiMH. These are Lithium.

can return batteries and get the tool at a discounted price if you have batteries already.

Or vice versa...buy the hedge trimmer combo and return the trimmer to get 2 batteries/charger for $50

i would say wiped out.

i was eying the hedge trimmer tool for this combo and was going to wait to go in store to buy it, but i might as well order it online to ship to my house if there is a high chance the shelves are gonna be picked bare like that.

I grabbed the Hedge trimmer, works damn well. Is not heavy at all, and cuts thru the shrubs I have without issue.

Not much left online. I got the power inverter. That can be really handy in the field.

yeah, I was reading quite a few posts on other sites this morning that Home Depot seems to have caught onto this glitch and 'fixed it'.

Here's the work around:
Order the combo online and have the batteries shipped to you.
select in store pick up for the tool

within 20 minutes of placing the order go, cancel the tool purchase and home depot will refund you the pro rated costs. Batteries should come out to right around $50
