Default Adding a Law folding buffer tube adapter to a registered pistol FA XO-26 ?

Hi there,
If there is a registered Franklin Armory XO-26 pistol with BB, any problem with adding a Law Tactical folding buffer tube adapter to it ?
It should remain as pistol in CA and in operating state still maintain more than 26" overall length. The folding state is in non-operating state.

Under CA laws/regulations...

It is CA legal to modify a BBRAW in any manner that does not result in the "bullet button" style magazine release from being removed and it is not configured in a manner that would violate CA generally prohibited weapons (SBR/SBS/unconventional pistol, etc) laws or CA DD/MG laws.

Thanks. I am more worry about turning it into AOW under Fed rules. If the adapter is installed, in the non-operating state, the length will be less than 26"

Under Federal laws/regulations...

BATFE determined the method to measuring overall length to determine if a firearm is a Title 1 Handgun, Title 1 Other, or Title 2 AOW as the following:
~Firearm is measured in the shortest possible firing configuration (arm stablizing brace is removed or folded/collapsed if it permanently attached).

Per BATFE...
Since the firearm is not intended to be fired from the shoulder, the arm stablizing brace can not be included in measuring overall length to determine what type of non-rifle/shotgun firearm it is.

Because the firearm can still discharge a round with the Law Tactical adaptor folded (even though doing so will damage the firearm), it will need to be measured with it folded.

If your BBRAW Franklin Armory XO-26 has an overall length of less than 26", then remove the vertical forward grip and it will not be considered a Title 2 AOW.
