Default Walther PP dating by serial number

Is there a way to date a Walther PP by serial number the .32 I got today was serial number 301076p Iím trying to figure out if it was a ww2 issue it has no import marks and the marks on the frame and barrel are really hard to see

Can you post some pics? Has it been refinished thatís why the markings are faint?

I donít have any pics of it the grips are not original and the barrel says walther under the proof mark

From somewhere that I read the serial number places it at 1944 but I donít know if itís true or not I will post pics when it comes out of gun jail but if it is a gun used during the war I got it for a steal of a price 528 out the door

Pictures help date as the serial numbers are not that straight forward. Yes it is a WWII pistol.

My PP is a 328XXXP serial and was made in 1944.

Yours should be as well.

Does it have any WaA359 stamps on the slide and frame? (these indicate inspection by military inspectors at the Walther factory for military procurement vs commercial private purchase)

I canít see them really well I can see a imprint of a mark on the left grip near the mag release but they are too far too poor to make out what it reads
