Default Any online ammo dealers willing to ship to LEO directly?

i believe the current ammo laws doesn't effect LEO regarding shipping ammo directly to them correct?

any online vendors who are willing?

Target Sports USA still does. Just have to check the exempt box and upload a copy of your credentials.

Brownell's and Prime will.

SG Ammo used to but will no longer ship to CA at all, even to FFL.

www.militaryshooters.com

Copy of your creds and you're good to go.

I also like to use www.ammoseek.com I always email the company that is selling the ammo I need and ask if they have exemptions for California LEOs

I also used them, they have excellent prices on Federal HST2.

I have gotten very good pricing and great customer service from Target Sports.

Anybody know how the Prop 63 and July 2019 ammo restrictions/process will effect ordering directly? No longer possible?

Target Sports has been very easy, their online ordering is fast. They don't really have too much of the odd ball mil surplus S&G had, but still decent. Upload your credentials and ID (block out/edit your DOB, etc). Pretty easy process. I also joined their membership program (about $100/yr) which saves you about another 5-15% depending on what you order, and no minimum order is needed to get free shipping. So if you just wanted to order say a couple of boxes to "test out", no shipping fees. Paid for itself in just a few months (I shoot at least weekly). Almost makes it not worth my while to dust off my Turret Press and churn out my own.

I have had no luck with Brownells. I have been a customer for 3-1/2 decades and have not had any luck getting them to ship ammo to me for the past couple of years since these mail-order laws kicked in. No matter how I try to navigate their website I cannot get any ammunition purchases to process. I've called and they give me the run around about "just try again", even after they've verified my credentials are on file. Their prices on ammo aren't great anyway.

Really wish Midway still shipped in, but they won't. When they had a sale, they had a pretty good sale (bulk .45, 5.56, etc). S&G did too, but he gave up the ghost when DOJ just plain wore him out.

I will definitely check out the couple of rec's above.

Seems like the easiest thing to do if you see a smoking good deal is to simply have them ship it to a local dealer. The dealer will mark up the total 10% or up to a max fee (like say $50 or $75 max; at least here in SoCal). American Gun Works in Glendale (formerly Kings Gun Works, then Gun King's Armory) provides this service. Gun World in Burbank will too. Turner's Outdoorsman chain won't. Buy in bulk to make it worth your while. When I retire in a couple of years I will go that route, or just shop the sales at LAX Ammo or the gun shows (assuming I even stay here in CA. Highly unlikely).

If our Chiefs and Sheriff's had had any balls and would have stood up to the legislators when they tried passing this S&%T instead of supporting it with these carve-out set-asides (for ammo, magazines and off-roster handguns) that have the rest of the gun-owning population pissed as hell at us maybe they wouldn't have had the support to get any of it passed in the first place. This crap might not have happened if we still had elected LE officials who couldn't be fired at the drop of a hat when the political winds shifted, or Chief's on year-to-year contracts pandering to their city councils because something sounds "politically correct". Gates and Block never would have put up with this garbage. I'm embarrassed to even mention my current profession whenever I go into a gun shop or am doing a face-to-face PPT. I even took the test and got a HSC / FSC just so I wouldn't have to mention to any one I met to conduct a PPT that I was in "the business" or to get an exemption on the FSC requirement to conduct the transfer PPW. Embarrassing as hell I tell you ....

I just got a ...bunch... delivered yesterday from PSA. Have a Targetsportsusa order coming on Monday, and have gotten several Brownell's packages in the last few weeks. All were very easy to set up.

What did you need to do to have palmetto ship ammo to you?
