true.
I got the tapco FCG in mine. Pretty easy to put in. Only thing I had trouble was with the wire retaining spring. Think is a b***h to put in.
On the handling...I got huge hands so thats no problem.

Default 7.62x39 Dci Ak

Ready for action. By the way, that's a Romanian PSL muzzle brake threaded on there. It fits just fine. I know, I need better wood on there.

The downside of those Romy kits is the ugly wood and that forward pistol grip. Your drum mag rocks though!

Default PRK legal unlisted HK rifle??

Yup!! Heres my birthday present to myself on top: PRK compliant HK911 (unlisted!), IK (1989) datecode. The 911's were essentially 91's that were imported before the 1989 import AW ban. They could not be sold as they were deemed non-sporting, so HK USA unscrewed the FH and PG, added a Bell Carlson thumbhole stock and thread protector, and restamped the receiver with an extra "1". In order for me to add a FH and PG, I needed to swap in a bunch of US parts to make it 922 compliant, much like an AK or G3 build. To make it SB23 compliant, I added my magazine lock and a riveted/epoxied 20/10 G3 magazine. It does need a barrel though, but it was a good buy and I'm stoked to have a gennie Oberndorf rifle now. Lower from RobertRTG, internals from JLD, forearm and bipod from Top Notch. Previous owner already did a paddle mag release, next up is a rebarrel with a JLD unit.

Bottom of above pic is my good ol PTR, also with fixed 10 rounder. Waiting for one fine day when I can move out of this state, drop the magazine lock, and SBR it. Registered sear pack would be nice too, lotto winnings permitting.

BTW pardon my piss poor pics, I cant take a photo worth a crap.

Ok heres some better pics...

The ar is a stag lower with delton upper, stock etc. Fixed mag device provided by 10% of the prince 50 kind. I managed to refinish one of my ak's in alumahyde II (the purty black one) it came out well except that it takes fooooreeevver to dry and cure. The other one is yet to be tested, so can't paint it yet. The ptr is not complete (and yes its fixed mag) I'm probably not going to use that barrel but the 24" heavy barrel I bought some time ago.

Man lucky guy...you got an hk 911..sweet.

Have you tried shooting the AK without the PG yet? I took mine out last Thursday and the damn thing kept slapping me in the face, even with a good cheek weld.

Yup. It was pretty stable for me. I kind of hold it with my thumb on the upper part and the rest of my fingers (excluding trigger) on the bottom part of the receiver and stock. I did get a bit of slap but it went away as I adjusted myself.

It’s a MSG90 adjustable buttstock with improved buffer system. They were standard on the H&K SR9T. See pictures below of a registered SR9T with factory MSG90 adjustable buttstock.

+1 for Top Notch Parts. Wade is a great guy to deal with.

You guys can also find killer HK parts deals on sturmgewehr.com and HKpro.com I see MSG and PSG stocks for sale all the time.

Robert Johnson (robertrtg.com) has lots of surplus HK stuff too. Gordon Miller (hkspecialist.net) has brand spankin' new HK parts, and his pricing reflects this.

+1 for Top Notch as well, Wade is a cool guy. Never had problems with them.
Also, yes Gordon's parts are very expensive, BUT remember you are getting genuine h&k stuff and NEW.

I actually LIKE the gloss black look over the matte finish black. If it was matte it would have all looked very similar and had not much color variation. Besides, in person it looks better color wise because the flash from the camera makes the gloss black look a bit more glossy than it is in person. Besides, if it turns out I don't like it all it takes is $1.50 in break cleaner to strip the rifle clean again...ask me how I know.
