LAPD blasted by almost 10,000 of its own cops for 'political pandering' after it bans the Thin Blue Line flag from station lobbies

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has banned the Thin Blue Line flag from public areas within police departments this week over a complaint that the flag represents 'violent, extremist views.'

The main reason given is that the thin blue line flag has been adopted by some extremist groups. How many instances of extremist groups adopting the rainbow flag will it take to ban its use?

^^^Totally agree with you here. I’d like to ask the Mayor and LAPD chief:

What “extremist” groups adopted that flag and what have they done that was considered “extreme” exactly?

Extreme like how??? Like protesting while intimidating the families in front of their residences of conservative appointed U.S. Supreme Court justice’s?

Extreme like, burning Seattle police stations to the ground?

Extreme like the mobs ransacking downtown businesses in Long Beach Ca., L.A., Santa Monica, New York, Reno, Oakland, Portland, Seattle, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Detroit,

Extreme like, burning a courthouse in Portland?

Extreme like tossing Molotov cocktails at police in Portland, Seattle, St. Louis, Detroit, Los Angeles?

Extreme like the arson attempt at the church in Washington DC where Dems tried to blame conservatives for it, but failed? (I didn’t see evidence of a thin blue line flag being waved their either).

Which one of those “EXTREMIST” groups exactly had a “thin blue line” flag being displayed???? Please let’s get to the bottom of this conundrum and round up then punish all of the alleged “pro police” anarchists!

Forgot to add…..

The LAPD Chief has ordered that their department Policy manual be changed to eliminate all male and female pronouns, so as not to offend. Also, so as not to offend “illegal aliens,” they can’t use the word “citizen” in the manual any longer.

For instance, “citizen rescue” will be banned terminology. It will be worded in a more woke and politically correct phraseology.

The Los Angeles city management is a woke joke. The chief is a joke, too, as he is just a stooge for the mayor and cannot stand on his own. They changed the city charter to keep from ever having a Chief Gates type issue. This is what you get.

Every employee POV in the parking lots of the various PD stations should have a thin blue line decal in their back window or bumper. Silent protest.

As an active duty cop, that thin blue line stuff is totally dumb to begin with. Especially when I see off-duty leos having it on their hats or on their car bumpers/bags. Youre just asking to get shot first.

I completely agree. But where I work, I don’t see one sworn LEO donning that flag/sticker/decal. It’s usually civilians that do, Just like the old “Los Angeles KMA 367” or the CHP “11-99 Foundation” license plate frames. Sworn doesn’t display that siht, wanna-be civilians do.
That all being said, the outright “banning” of the thin blue line stuff is crap. Total wokeness.

Wanna-be civilians is a little harsh, LE is losing support from both the left and the right. But there still is a large segment of society that supports us and wants to show that they do, I’m thankful for them.

I’ll never forget how after a friend of mine was murdered on duty, how many homes in our little community replaced one or two porch/garage lights with a blue bulb.

You’re missing the point. I’ve never rocked any sticker, T-shirt , license plate frame , nothin. This is just about control.

Default Blue Line Flag or US Flag with a Blue Line?

Well, I know my opinion may be unpopular, but....

IF it's an American Flag with a blue line (or any other color line besides red or white for that matter) I pretty much agree that it should not be displayed in the PD or any government building. I think perverting the American Flag with any other color is divisive. It's essentially like saying the regular American Flag is only good for some or not good enough for others.

IF, we're talking about the traditional black field with a blue line flag to represent support for LEO's...go for it. There are plenty of other flags out there to represent various groups. Each LEA can decide if that's something they want, or not.

Personally, I don't put any stickers on my vehicle to represent any particular occupational, religious, or political affiliation. A single American Flag sticker...and my stick figure family. :-)
