Maybe, maybe not. I would still watch if it is now available after the fact. It is not every year when a new compliance law yields operational improvements. It's exciting so I would watch.

It couldn’t function. The reverse sprung maglock stays in a position as if its being pushed. That is why that Gen3 maglock has a wheel so when you close it the upper receiver resets it when you close it. That unfortunately won’t work with the KingPin but we did try

I forgot about the wheel. It makes sense now. I'm sold on the kingpin for the simple fact that you can both drop the mag and clear a malfunction with the bolt back, without any additional steps.

I believe kingpin wont open the reciever far enough to use the gen 3 maglock, so thats why the gen 2 is paired with it.

I do have a question about the amount of pressure req'd to crack the upper with the kingpin. Is a firm press required? Or is it a soft press?
I have seen the youtube vids and saw the profile height in the IG vid, but how prone are we to accidental presses with king pin installed and the rifle slung bouncing bumping off the body, belts, etc.?

I sling outboard so the button doesnt come in contact with my body. But under normal conditions it hitting against your body shouldn't be a big issue. It requires a medium firm press to actuate.

Or will it be sold as a package deal with the Armaglock2? (No need to pay for the Armaglock2's reciever pin if we're going to toss it and use the Kingpin instead).

Does this setup with your Kingpin and the 2nd gen AR Maglock stop the upper receiver from falling forward when it's disconnected? Meaning does it prevent it from opening all the way and only a small crack instead?

I just did my own version of this switch with the juggernaut and an AR-Maglock.

You simply shave down the tab that pokes into the receiver until it fits into the crack. It was a pain in the ***, and I'd rather buy the complete kit, but if you can't wait this a solution.

Yup. That’s how I sent my prototypes to them. And they took measurements off that. But I also had them add pad height to the mag catch so it engages the magazine more to ensure it doesn’t release
