I was able to see the discount until i started entering the raise gift cards, then the total jumped back to regular price. it'd only show the discount if i didn't enter gift cards.

Mine went through at 1:46 pm. Got the 10% and used my old gift cards.

Same deal will be happening again on Nov 29-Dec 1.

PS: Not much for shooting in their BF flyer.

For what it’s worth. I tried to use my Raise cards on bass pro website and was able to get non discounted cards only.

I used my Raise cards on my iPhone in store and the associate that helped me didn’t say anything of it. I bought 4 gift cards discounted in person with raise cards. This was at the Rocklin Bass Pro on 11-18-19. The raise cards were purchased that week.

im assuming they wont accept e-gift cards as payment for these physical cards. Because raise deals with mostly e-gift cards a lot of you are seeing this issues. Ive only used physical ones and havent had a problem.

Third time for two of my 20% cards from SVM. Second time for my 13.8% Raise cards. If this keeps up................more than likely, the next time I'll buy all $25 cards that I can and give them away, as there's nothing they have that I want, even at 1/2 off or more. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Mine has been through many "washes" too. Who knows, I lost count LOL.

Just spent most of my GCs yesterday, though. The Tikka TAC A1 went on sale online again. With all those cards and Club points (which also worked for those 10% GCs btw ) I could have saved more in store, but I'm stuck in PRC until the in-store sale is over.

Now that I'm in need for 6.5 Creedmore ammo, I hope Cabela's will have good deals I can use these cards on. Hard to get used to $1 per round

Thanks, I had a great Thanksgiving too. Alaskan King Crab legs beats turkey any day

This isn't a bad deal at Academy for Hornady Black. Free ship and don't forget 7% from AJ. PM me if you need me to "hold it" for you.

Cycled mine for a 4th time, too bad NDA shipping falls a day after the sale ends. Almost blew the entire load off during this sale but why not just enjoy another +$70 to the stack

Good price for 6.5 CM. I might buy just enough to get free shipping just to try it out. Thanks!

Days of buying a case before I try it is behind me. We’re not in CAnsas anymore...

Quick question, asking here so hopefully someone will chime in.

Will Bass Pro “sell” a handgun to Dros later? I just picked one up and I’m not 30 days past yet.

Another reminder that the Active Junky portal is offering 12% cash back* for Cabelas.
Quote:
* 2% Cash Back will be paid on Ammunition/reloading components and ammunition accessories (i.e. plastic storage containers to store ammo) and 1% Cash Back will be paid on all firearm purchases including upper receivers & barrels. Cashback will not be paid on the purchase of Gift Cards.

Sorry, what was the conclusion on cycling? Some have had their orders canceled, some have gotten nasty phone calls, others have been able to do so multiple times without consequence?

The conclusion is "YMMV." I've gotten nasty phone calls and had my orders cancelled in the past, but this time, so far, crossing my fingers, the last two times I've got my orders processed and the first one delivered. The other is pending.

Yes. Make sure the gun is physically in the store and not in transit so you can inspect it.

Two $100 and one $50. I still have a $50 coming from the last time when I used Raise cards and 10% from C's. It's not due here til the 2nd, so I'll miss doing it with that one.

I only had a $100 from and a little bit left of another one from SVM for 20%. Then I bought five $25's from Raise and used them twice, some three times now.

PS: I used the one account that I've used for nearly 10 years now for the most part, but I did buy a $50 twice on my other account. The one card that's late was on that other account.

What is the deal with my gift cards being "expired"?

I bought a few cards about two years ago and recently found them in the back of the drawer and tried using them but it says "expired" .... the back of the cards say "NO EXPIRATION." Anyone with similar experience?

OK, enough whining that you can't buy gift cards with gift cards; let's talk about what you can do.

Currently there is an extra 5% on Raise for Cabelas (only 4% for BassPro). It's a max of $15 (which would be $300 worth of gift cards).

This on top of the 13.7% off of the gift card, plus the 12% for Active Junky, plus the Black Friday dealios (extended through the weekend), and there are some major discounts. I'm also getting 5% back when I pay Raise via PayPal because my Chase Freedom Visa has PayPal as a bonus category right now.

I just bought a chronograph that is going for $559 on Amazon and Brownells on sale at Cabelas for like $350 after all the discounts.

p.s. - Gift cards cannot expire under California law.

For buying discounted gift cards? They should work. At worst they’d kick you to the curb and cancel the transaction. Ask RiskyBusiness.

I don't think Bass Pro or Cabelas offers cash back on gift cards with Active Junky.

Not for discounted gift card loopholes. I want to buy discounted gift cards first and use them on a rifle.

I'm just going to say this isn't a good look, trying to exploit a coding loophole to essentially steal from a company. Think I'm being extreme? Imagine if a company was trying to do this to you, double dipping on profits because somehow the fine print allowed it; you'd all scream bloody murder on the forums and Yelp. But it's ethical when you do it because you're the consumer and they're a big bad faceless namleess corporation? That's Elizabeth Warren logic.

One of the few companies still committed to selling guns and ammo in California. Let's rip them off and trick them into selling us stuff below cost!

Lawdy with Active Junky at 12% and Raise at 14% +5% on BF plus Cabela's BF sales, there are still some good deals out there.

It is also possible they allow it to jerry-rig sales numbers. Recorded sales are artificially inflated when someone keeps buying gift cards with gift cards. Cabelas sold a *ton* of gift cards in the months before Bass Pro acquired them, and they were blowing them out at 20% off. If you wanted to artificially inflate sales figures to jack up your perceived market value, then that is a quick way to go about it.

So maybe they know exactly what they are doing. The attempts to moderate it by calling some people or cancelling some orders could just be optics. They could stop it cold turkey if they really wanted to. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over ‘exploiting a coding loophole’ when it is also being allowed in-store in person. Maybe we’re the suckers.

FYI I went in and tried, they said no and that it was illegal. It was pretty busy at the time but the associate that helped me was rude.

It's a calculated risk for them. They know exactly what's going on. They also know that up to 50% of gift cards never get used. Gift cards are extremely profitable for companies for that exact reason, and it enters into their financial strategies. That's why almost all retail companies offer them. Trust me, they know consumer behavior, how it works, and they plan accordingly.
