I want one of these, but the location of the serial number means I can't have the slide and dustcover milled back like I want. Bummer.

Maybe it's your grip? My 5 foot tall wife shoots it no problem.

Some people change out the wood grips to thinner grips too, in case you have the wood style.

Anyone have hands experience with the CGW "E" conversion? Legit or overkill?

Had the same issue when I picked one up a few years ago. Even with the CZ aluminum grips, it felt large and ended up selling it. Then I discovered LOK thin grips. Picked up another CZ97 last year and slapped on the LOK thin grips and a few CGW upgrades. Now it's a keeper.

I shot my friend's CZ 97E and it's very accurate and the trigger is great! Had no problems shooting at 35 -75 yards semi consistently.
He shoots a 1" group or all touching at 7 yards consistently. There's one video of a guy shooting it with a rest at 100 yards and he gets excellent results.
5/10 x ring hits at 100 yards!

That being said, my CZ 97B is sitting at the bench of CGW right now being worked on, waiting 6-8 more weeks but hopefully less for it to come back.

I got two 45acp handguns during the pandemic and had none before 2021. Had to trade a bunch of 22lr, 5.56, and 7.62x39 to get 1k of it. Got all my ammo pre covid so it worked out to be about 40 cpr from various trades.

I do notice a bunch of larger caliber rifles staying in stock like 6.5 creedmoor and being sold in the long guns marketplace. People just can’t afford to shoot 2 bucks a round.

Still over 10 avail, maybe time to start bringing prices down to move inventory.

Either that or people prefer paying $100 over that price here in the marketplace for a used one.

They have had shipments of these, with 10+ each time, several times in the last 6 weeks or so. I think those who wanted one scratched their itch.

I didnít do the entire conversion w/ pro package, just the
1911 bushing conversion; itís night and day, the stock 97B
threaded bushing kept coming loose after a few magazines.
My accuracy greatly improved, it's a must IMHO. The other
upgrades of the pro package are great, just out of my budget.

Iíve shot a 75B and P01 with the pro package upgrades, real
nice results. You couldnít go wrong w/ the CGW E Conversion.

I have one of these that has been Cajunized including installing a 1911 style bushing. It is as accurate as my Les Baer 1.5" guaranteed pistol.
