Default first competition shoot tomorrow - what to pack in range bag?

Other than the obvious, what should I pack?

I got:
gun
300 rds ammo
6 magazines
holster belt
sun screen
ear / eye protection

some drinks, maybe something to eat.

Am i missing anything?

For first match you're set. Go shoot it, then we can talk about what else you should have in your bag so you're ready for less likely events...

Son, how'd you do in the 1988 Ernie Hill Desert Classic? Because I had fun with my Springfield Armory P9, and Ernie Hill gun leather

Wait, Cuban, were you even born in 1988?

Water/hydration and start the night before.

A backup firearm, in case the first one breaks down.

Have fun and don't sweat stuff you don't understand as you will in time. Steep learning curve with lots of little fumbles. Slow and steady, watch and try to understand what and why people are doing what they're doing. You will never want to go back to shooting static range again. Be safe and have fun

OP,
Hope you had a good time.
I carry a small writing pad in my bag. Make notes on what I need to add to my kit and what others are using that I should too. Also great place to jot down shooting notes. Lots going on. As you learn the ropes the confusion disappears.

On the chair, I would suggest a camp stool instead. I've seen several dropped guns because the grip hooks the arm sitting down. I switched to a three legged folding camp stool a couple years ago. Added benefit that it packs light and is easier to sit in while cleaning/loading mags at the wagon

A bunch of us have a folding wagon and we've attached PVC to one corner for a sport or patio umbrella.

I also have a USB powered fan that I can clamp on to the umbrella.

Hat and hydration are vital where I am. Cool water or Gatorade/Enhanced water are very important in the heat here.

Range bag has:
Gun bag
Mag bag
Eyes/ears
Knee pads
Good size IFAK
Paster gun (you'll appreciate it after you have reset a ton)
Timer
Magazine gauge (because I MD/RM)
Gloves and head lamp for night shoots or matches that run late
Sweat rag
Gunsmithing hammer and brass squib rod
Magazine brush
Extra AA, AAA, various watch style batteries for various dot and CR123
Wet wipes
Advil
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Aerosol chalk (grip enhancer)
Tool kit
Stapler and staples
Oil, rag, spray hoppes, small portable cleaning kit
Maglula and loader for my buckmark
Pen and perm marker
Bag of spare parts for what is now my backup gun (just got a new primary)

Then my inner/outer belt, holster and mag pouches, trail running shoes (Solomon speedcross 4)

Amazon sells light weight folding barstool, I carry it everywhere I shoot. Sits you up higher than a camp chair and no worries about hooking you pistol or mags

I still got my P9 and Ernie Hill stuff, except I used a Safariland with the P9 and a SIG P226 with my Ernie Hill. And it's SPEEDleather, not gun leather.
