Default IDPA SSR division LA

Does anyone show up for the stock service revolver division at local IDPA meets? I want to get into revolvers and am trying to decide if I should get an IDPA or ICORE setup. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if Steel Challenges have a decent amount of revolver people showing up?

Thanks Brad. What's the most common caliber and barrel length. Do you have a good gunsmith for revolvers?

Sure, most people either shoot a S&W 5" 627 in .38 special/.357 but they're reloading and shooting .38 Short Colt, or a S&W 929 in 9mm, but also with reloads.

Will Ohara in Corona is a great revolver smith.

I've got both a 627 and a 929, and you're welcome to shoot them if you'd like.

Revolver is probably the least popular division in IDPA outside of BUG, but you still get a few shooters in it.

Thanks Brad. I might take you up on it. Do many people shoot classic division six shot revolvers?

Not sure about popularity, but ICORE has a Retro division for six-shot wheelguns using speed loaders.

Not really sure, it seems like a geezer class move

Go eight or go home.
