To the newbies who sign up here and wonder why the animosity towards them and their politics, it is because your political party is trying to take away our guns. Cut and dry, plain and simple. You wonder why the vast majority of us support Orange Man; as far as 2A rights (which this very forum defends), the Democrat Party has come out of the closet and are making draconian gun control and gun confiscation a major part of their presidential campaign platform, the first time in U.S. history.

So if you align yourself against Trump and vote Democrat, why the hell are you here at Calguns? To leech good info from good members, buy stuff in the marketplace, then throw us all under the bus with your leftist politics and vote? This behavior does NOT make you a productive member of this 2A forum, in fact, it makes you a classic troll.

Pro gun members here recognize that Trump, with his court appointees of those who follow the Constitution, is the only hope for CA gun ownership because of the state's Democrat's continued destruction of gun culture in the state. And Biden wants to have this for the rest of the country, Harris already stating that CA is the model for the U.S.

But also there are newbies who have no guns, no intention of gun ownership, that just come here to fan flames so close to the election. These are truly low lifes.

I’m unsubscribing from this thread because the academic gymnastics preformed by Marxist trolls to blame orange man bad for everything from a novel virus mutation to Russian collusion and other fractured fairy tales is literally giving me a headache.

I am a single issue voter. That issue is preservation of the constitution and the civil rights it protects.

“2 blasts” Joe “shoot em in the leg” Biden publicly and clearly stated he will put Beto “hell yes we’ll take your guns” O'Rourke in charge of the gun problem.

This isn’t some Sean Hannity Alex Jones conspiracy bull Schiff, it’s what has been publicly stated

People just font get it...it is something I learned as a junior officer in the military and as an executive at a number of large fortune 100 companies; You dont have to like someone for them to work for you and do a good job.

I am not particularly fond of Trump's management style or abrasive personality, although watching him drive woke liberals' up trees is fun. I dont listen to what any politician says (they all lie), I look at what they claim to stand for and what they do....and I like "almost" everything Trump has and will continue to do with executive policy; foreign, economic and military policy.

Ask a fairly straightforward question that invites a conversation - nothing. It intrudes on what I call the "parting pithy patter". The internet equivalent of fingers in ears, sticking out tongue and saying "so there ...!" then walking off. Which with any luck has just happened.

And it isn't even November 4th - I was wrong.

This is one issue I am not worried about .When NJ banned extended magazines and drums .How many people complied and turned them in?.....0.They want to take the ar15/308/Ak All the variants the ar and ak pistol want gun registration. How many are going to comply ?....0.California has a six person team to combat illegal firearms and how does that go for them ?.Highly unsatisfactory.Crime rates are through the roof funny 5 million new gun owners not one mass shooting.Call me a ton foil wearer I believe 95% of the mass shootings were liberal deep left Trojan horse tactics to stir the pot and steer the nation into disarmament.Years ago the American people should have formed a We The People Constitutional Party to air out the grievances against the law abiding citizen .If she didn’t want open borders I would side with Jergenson outright that idea is why a vote for her is unsettling for me .Honestly three things can happen
1)Joe wins but the right wins over the house and keeps the senate .
2)Trump wins but loses the senate and the left keeps the house
3)Joe wins left keeps the house and edges to win the senate then all hell breaks loose when the draconian tactics start within a year or two of a Biden .Trump has to pull off the gloves and get on the offensive .

For the left, getting Donald Trump out of office tops the wish list. It’s been that way since the day after the 2016 election. For them, everything the president has done is bad, every move sinister, and every policy one more nail in the progressive coffin.

To be fair, Trump hasn’t done himself any favors with his incessant Tweets, revolving door cabinet and mixed messaging on the coronavirus.

Biden allegedly offers a return to “normalcy.” But, what’s normal in 2020?

Biden’s platform is a risky love letter to social justice warriors and those who believe capitalism is the root of all evil.

For starters, Biden wants to increase the corporate tax rate. The Hill cited an economic study by Kevin Hassett and Aparna Mathur which concluded that corporate tax hikes lead to a substantial decrease in wages and spending, and spurred businesses to move out of the country.

That’s not what we need, especially as a report by Yelp found that 60% of businesses around the U.S. that shut down due to the coronavirus will remain closed forever.

Biden has big plans for spending, some $5.4 trillion for universal pre-K, free community college, clean energy and other programs. The wealthy will foot the bill, thanks to eliminating the Republican tax cuts and making the rich “pay their fair share.”

But a look at data released by the Congressional Budget Office analyzing 2017 household income shows that the top 20% of households already pay 87.1% of federal income taxes and 69.2 % of all federal taxes; and the top 1% of households pay an average income tax rate of 24.4% while the middle 20% of households pays an average income tax rate of 3.3%.

Biden has also pledged to create “one million new, well paying jobs in the American automobile industry” — a neat trick following massive job cuts in recent years by auto manufacturers. Part of the reason for those cuts can be traced to a decline in global light vehicle sales, fueled by drops in demand in China and India. As the global economy has taken a wallop due to the coronavirus pandemic, one wonders how demand will shoot up to the point that job cuts can be reversed, and jobs added.

Most disconcerting is that Biden’s platform is a potluck of agendas pushed by far-left party members such as Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Sanders and Biden hashed out a Progressive Unity Platform this summer, and AOC joined other progressive lawmakers in telling Biden who he shouldn’t have in his Cabinet.

All this, of course, ignores the fact that pre-COVID-19, Donald Trump’s economy was going gangbusters. Last year, the jobless rate dropped to 3.5%, its lowest reading in 50 years. The jobless rate for Hispanics hit a record low of 3.9% in September 2019, while African Americans maintained their lowest rate ever, 5.5%, according to CNBC.

The Dow hovered around 19,000 when Trump was first elected — last year it hit above 26,000 — good news for everyone with a 401(k). Trump didn’t spend his way to a robust economy — he cut regulations and got tougher with trade negotiations.

He’s against defunding police, for holding China accountable for COVID-19 negligence and putting America first on trade, defense, the courts and, again, the economy.

He’s what America needs right now, decisive action to get us back to pre-pandemic strength — not an unfeasible spending spree in the name of a progressive utopia.

The Boston Herald endorses Donald Trump for president.

I'm not trying to change your vote or otherwise pressure you--just explaining my own personal position as a decades-long registered Libertarian on Jorgensen.

I voted for Jo Jorgensen in the primary, but when she openly endorsed BLM, it became obvious that she waded into the race war with only a superficial understanding of the side she endorsed.

Two big mistakes Jorgensen made:

a) BLM routinely violates the Non-Aggression Principle that all big-L Libertarians swear to uphold. Thousands of smartphone videos and BLM literature prove that they believe in using violent aggression to achieve their ends. Big-L and small-l libertarians believe that violence is only acceptable in defense, not aggression. A libertarian could argue that BLM's violence against the gov't is a defensive action against an aggressive police state, BUT this argument falls completely apart when we see BLM attacking innocent civilians or businesses. Shaking down local businesses in the CHAZ/CHOP is as un-libertarian as you can get.

b) BLM is openly and avowedly authoritarian Marxist/communist/socialist. Authoritarianism is diametrically opposed to big-L and small-l libertarianism. Who's stupid enough to support their worst enemy? Jorgensen, apparently.

After that I decided I would vote Trump and un-register as a big-L Libertarian and become a "No Party Preference" as soon as I can. (This affects the LP's ballot access.) I'm going to remain a small-l libertarian but I'm done with the big-L Libertarian Party if they can't even stand for their two most central core principles (Non-Aggression Principle and defending against the onslaught of authoritarianism.) Trump and the GOP are not libertarian by any means, but my reasoning is that if there is no libertarian choice for political party or candidate, I might as well choose to oppose the authoritarian left on my own, with my own individual vote, no longer as part of an organized party. Right now, opposing the authoritarian left means voting Trump. Next election it might mean voting for the Libertarian Party's candidate (if they figure out what Jorgensen did is a supreme mistake).

It might be worse than that. I think Jorgensen is extremely, extremely naive. She seems to think that it is possible to separate BLM the movement from BLM the organization:

https://reason.com/2020/08/07/jo-jor...he-protesters/

I highly disagree with her assessment. Based on everything we've seen of the intersectional left, they very cleverly and absolutely intentionally are a wolf in sheep's clothing, choosing such words as "anti-fascist" and "black lives matter" while clearly acting oppositely to those words. During CHAZ, the guards there shot up a car that two black minors had stolen and gone joyriding in, yet there is no outcry within their ranks about those black lives:

https://thepostmillennial.com/seattl...elebrates-chop

From smartphone footage it may have even been white Antifa/BLM guards that murdered those black boys, but no outcry since it goes against BLM the organization. Antifa and BLM the organization* closed ranks to protect their own.

BLM the movement is a deliberate cover for BLM the organization. There is absolutely no way to separate the two, and it is this way by BLM the organization's design. If Jorgensen can't figure this out, she is not fit to be POTUS.

At least with Trump or Biden, they have enough wits about them to understand that BLM (movement and organization) is a threat to America. Yes, even Biden with his clear mental decline understands that BLM is a threat; he seems to know he can't praise them but also knows that he can't denounce them because he needs their votes to win (in other words, he is a sellout, but at least he isn't BLM's ally like Jorgensen is).

---

* Antifa and BLM the organization are indeed two separate organizations. In short, Antifa wants to start a communist revolution by fomenting a class war, and BLM the organization wants to start a communist revolution by fomenting a race war. To those who argue that Antifa is not an organization, they have heraldry, chapters, merchandise, planning/scheduling, coordination, well-concealed funding sources, and hierarchical leadership. It's just hidden from view, and the "Antifa is not an organization" is just a lie, like "BLM is just a movement" is a lie.

It seems grossly unfair that the top 20% of households pay 87.1% of income taxes, until you consider what percentage of the national household income the top 20% earns. While comprising only 20% of households, the top 20% earns 51.9% of all household income https://www.statista.com/statistics/...les-in-the-us/

The top 20% earns more than half of all the income earned in the country. So while the top 20% are already paying more than their "fair share" of income taxes, it isn't as grossly unfair as it seems when people say the top 20% are paying 87%. It's more like the people who earn 52% of the income are paying 87% of income taxes.

And the bottom 50% pay 3% of all income taxes. The problem, with the distribution of income in America over the last 20 years is that the 21st century economy the democrats have been promoting verses heavy manufacturing requires EDUCATION. Those without education can only participate in the services sector...not the technology or intellectual property sectors where what y0u make is a function of how much you use your leverage your mind, not your body. The black and to a lesser extent the Hispanic communities have eschewed education as the key to success in America. Those who do embrace education can and are as successful as their white or Asian counterparts.

This thread should be renamed “why all people shouldn’t vote for Biden”

the corruption and, money laundering and selling of American security in exchange for personal wealth schemes that are coming to light recently are earth shattering and indisputable. Biden is a bigger crook than Nixon on several orders of magnitude. Crack addicted child molesting Hunter is just a diversionary side show.

The embezzling, money laundering and blackmail activities are criminal.

And Biden WILL put Beto in charge of gun confiscation.
