Default Walther PPQ M2 5"

Even though reviews seem to be very good, I've noticed quite a few 5" PPQ M2's for sale on Calguns and other sites. Is there anything wrong with these handguns or is it that being off roster sellers can ask top dollar for them..?

Nothing wrong with them it's just the market some people in CA just flip them in other places they may have thought it was a miracle cure when in fact many guns will outshoot the shooter.....

Same thing that's wrong with the Glock 43, the VP9 and the P365. They aren't sold in CA.

Walthers are fantastic.

They are really fun, accurate, good trigger... nothing wrong with them. Great Glock knock-off. Should probably hold a couple more rounds. People sell them because they are popular and worth a lot here. Probably quite a few folks like them as a fun range toy... and range toys are not always a necessity. I am not crazy about the 5" sights but I shoot a Q5 slide now with better sights, however when you install a RMR or Holosun you have to remove the nice rear sight module. I don't like that. Nit picking though. Great range toy.

One of my favorite handguns I owned.

I ended up trading it for a HK VP9.

I have 2 - 4" PPQM2 9mm, purchased an extra 5" slide and barrel.
These are the most accurate polymer guns I have fired. The 4" is my CCW gun with the 15 round mags. My second CCW gun is the FN 5-7 with the 20 round mags.

I had more fun with my 4 inch when I bought a Q5 slide off of gunbroker for it. Wound up selling it and the Q5 slide after a few months....no particular reason other than to acquire something else for CCW.

I had owned a PPQM2 5 inch; awesome pistol, accurate shooter with a great trigger (especially its short reset). Sold it to thin down my collection.

You may be aware you can get a 15+2 magazine for the PPQ.

I didn't know.

Would love to have ordered some of those 17's with flush plate, but didn't know about them.

I do know about the 18's (TP9 mags), not flush fit though.

^^

I think they have 18's with a thin base plate and the 20's that come with the MECGAR PLUS2 pads... the pads are supposed to fit the standard PPQ M2 15 rounders and add 2 or 3 according to the YOUTUBES. I have not tried it, but I do have quite a few of those base pads that came with various mags and I guess they are all the same... did not know that. Mecgar sells the PLUS2 pads alone.

My TP9 mags are actually the 20's... I guess that's worth sticking out the grip a bit. Still want the flush fits now that I know about them. Damn CA.

I have a Q5 Match, it makes me look a lot better than I am. I just put an RMR on it and am learning that, need a ton more practice. PPQís are great guns though.

Way too much muzzle flip for a 9mm. Sold mine for that reason.

I got some factory 17 rounders during Freedom Week

I didn't know about them either but stumbled on them while gourding on mags, and said hell yeah. They are not flush though, they have a +2 extension basically.

Had one, sold it.... it wasn't bad but I wasn't in love with it, much like my P320.

I much prefer my M&P 2.0 5"..... Trigger was great stock but my Apex M&P is better. To each their own.

Only gun I still really want is a VP9-B with a lobo trigger..... all in time perhaps.

Search google. Most retailers sell them but theyíre consistently out of stock. Optics planet for example

I read somewhere that the 5” and 4” versions of the PPQ M2 have the same receiver.

If that’s true, can I just buy a complete slide somewhere? And where would that be? I looked on Gunbroker.

The PPQ M2 4" and 5" have the same frame. I purchased a complete 5" slide assembly from walther, use it at the range for target practice, 4" slide is used for CCW.

I have a PPQ M1 and bought a Q5 Match slide and it fits perfectly onto the M1 frame. The magazine for the M1 and M2 are different but other than that, the rest are all interchangeable.

You can even put a Canik TP9 SFX slide onto a Walther PPQ frame and vice versa.

I can switch basepads among my M&P, Canik/Walther and XDMís. Donít look at ones that are made specifically for your gun because others will fit

I have a 4" and 5" (both M2). Swapped the slides for fun. You could never tell except the serial numbers no longer match.

Wouldn't mind getting a Q5 slide but those slides cost as much as my 4" did during SSE days.

May I ask how much you paid for it?

It doesnít seem to be on their website.
