Default One Side Thumb Safety Suggestion.

Gun is a stainless Springfield Loaded Target Model, came stock with an ambidextrous thumb safety.

What replacement one sided (right hand shooter) thumb safety can you recommend that looks factory stock or closest to stock looking??

Thank you.

Direct from Springfield would be my first place. You do realize it will to be fitted.

Lots of aftermarket choices out there, google 1911 parts and you'll see plenty.

Default 1911 thumb safety

I would HIGHLY recommend the EGW stainless thumb safety.... THE BEST! Learn to install one yourself.... it's not hard.

The Harrison Design extreme service thumb safety is on all of our SA Loaded Target 9mm 1911s. We've found the grip much improved when the right thumb isn't perched on top of that large, stock safety, but it's all about personal preference.

+1 for the Harrison. Prefer the slightly thinner tactical version.
