Ammo background check fee proposal... Check is about $20?
§ 4302. Standard Ammunition
"Eligibility Check. (a) As authorized by Penal Code section 30370, subdivision (e), the fee for a Standard Ammunition Eligibility Check is $1.00." ... § 4303. One-Time Ammunition Transactions. "(a) As authorized by Penal Code section 30370, subdivision (c), the fee for a Basic Ammunition Eligibility Check is $19.00." "(1) An approved Basic Ammunition Eligibility Check can only be used for one ammunition purchase or transfer, and the approval expires 30-calendar days from when it is issued." https://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/a...gs-121418.pdf? via https://www.crpa.org/crpa-news/ca-do...s-regulations/ Good thing Democrats want to "HELP" all the poor people... This Check Fee is about what the price of a cheap box of defensive ammunition costs ($17.99 on sale [380 Hydra-Shock ] to about $30.99 for mid-grade [9mm 150gr HST] from a quick search), on top of the ammo, so about double for poor people that can't buy in bulk. I think criminals are going to make a killing on the black market! Last edited by the86d; 12-16-2018 at 4:35 AM.. |

It's $1 if you're already in the system. You're already in the system if you have DROS'd a firearm in California.
Now, if it gets declined, then you have to pay an additional $19 for a full background check. There are already a couple of threads where this is being discussed. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk |
