I let the seller count the money so they know I’m not wasting their time. We fill out the paperwork, and upon completion seller gets the money in hand.

So people keep posting about iTrader ratings. What is it and how does it work?

Look at my number in the upper right and click on it... after a deal here in the marketplace be it for firearms or anything else, you can leave feedback similar to Ebay etc.

Like Wordupmybrother, I should have probably five more than I do... we should leave correct feedback for any deal. Pretty sure I did biz with him at some point in time and you'll see his name in there. It helps us all weed out the flakes and undesirables. Also it gets rid of your "zero" and puts people at ease, especially sellers, that you aren't a total newbie because by and large they are the biggest pains to deal with! Certainly not intended at you, especially since you've been here a few years, but I think you get the idea. All we have is our word right?

If you do any deal in the marketplace here, ask someone to help you do it... it's easy and only takes a couple minutes.

I'm picturing myself doing it the way you described it.
You would hand me a stack of bills to count and then take it right back? That wouldn't fly with me.

I'm a parking lot guy. I'll ask for good enough pics that I'm 90% good to go already. I'll bring a magnifying glass, check it real quick, shake hands, done. The paperwork is some bs that we both have to put up with, it has nothing to do with the actual sale.

Yeah that seems a little strange, every single time I've looked at the firearm (or the buyer has) in the parking lot but in a discreet manner of course and the money changes hands right there then we go do the paperwork. I have always just assumed that's how it's done.

Check with FFL's store policy on gun inspection & funds exchange inside the store. If they allow both, do it inside the store. If not, outside parking lot.
Yep, what he said

anyone buying should be paying before any paper works is done... if im selling im not signing anything without the money in hand. most if not all of my dealings in calguns are all positive...the calgunners that I had met are all professionals and trustworthy.....so far so good

Hey screw you. I don’t buy and sell guns for a living. Many FFLs ask that you do not trade money in their store. I handed an envelope with the money to the seller to count and inspect bills ( inside the FFL, witnessed by the gun check in employee. We went back to the counter , filled out the paperwork , and walked outside. I gave him the money. Everyone was happy. He was fine with it. I was fine. I trader rating and everything.

If you want to say you wouldn’t feel comfortable with that, fine. But to assert that I’m a scammer or something and putting a PSA out not to do business with me?
Not right.

You're not a regular guy; you're an irregular guy.

‘Regular Guy’ flashing the cash and putting it back in his pocket

WTF? Making the seller wait it out....not cool

Regular guy I did not say you were a scammer just to much of a pain in as5 to deal with. Gun store employee should never be involved in transaction other than dros paperwork. . You have 2 Itrader ratings in 9 years which leads me to believe your not an authority on ppt.. No one should pay after paperwork that is just paranoia.
